Not worth the price

Posted Aug 11, 2016
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. Great water pressure in shower/tub.
Cons: Black-out curtains for rooms, updated bathroom which can be better cleaned. Larger tvs in the rooms.
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants within a block. The hotel is right next door to a Meijer which you can access without getting back on the main road.
My main complaint about this hotel is the lack of black-out curtains in the room. The only ones were sheer. This may not even have been such a huge problem if not for the 2 gigantic flood lights in the parking lot behing the building both pointed at the building like 2 miniature suns. I woke up at 3am and panicked because it looked like it was sunrise already because of the lights. I then couldn't get back to sleep, quite bothered by not being able to throw a curtain over the window to block the light out. We stayed in an odd numbered room whose windows faced the parking lot in the rear of the building. I don't know if the front facing rooms would have the same problem with the flood lights. The bathtub in the room was not ideally clean, nor was any part of the bathroom. The water pressure and shower head were nice, though. The toiletries provided are awful, I couldn't even get the shampoo to lather. The beds each have 3 pillows which are nice and fluffy, and fortunately the beds were comfortable. The tv was tiny. The only ice machine in the building is on the first floor. The elevator was jerky and a little scary, as well as SLOW. We were always waiting on the elevator. The pool was small and crowded, but ok. The spa tub was nice and hot. The continental breakfast was a huge disappointment. Poor Quality. Also, they were allowing 10 minute lulls in restocking missing items. Nobody wants to be that person who stares longingly at the bacon bin for that long.

Very kind accommodating staff. Nice area but basically views of parking lot. Next door to Meijer open 24 hours. Loved the room. Nice breakfast, decent food, generous amounts, heated indoor pool, free WiFi. Room was clean, bed was mildly uncomfortable. Tile was cracked by jacuzzi. Room was very clean, jacuzzi tub worked fine, including jets. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was able to check in early no problems or troubles and given a ground floor room. Every effort was made to accommodate my disability.

The only complaint is that there is no shade on the windows. Therefore, it's too bright for a good rest.

The room was comfortable. The staff was helpful in answering my questions about a good restaurant and how to get to the airport.

Disappointing Country Inn

Posted May 11, 2016 on Hotels
Very disappointed in housekeeping. Room was not ready after 8 hours of being away for the day. Had to call for service, and front desk asked what I needed (my reply: make the bed, clean the bathroom, clean towels, etc.) Said their washing machine broke down. No towels available in pool/spa area. Breakfast eggs were cold and watery.

Convenient location

I was very comfortable. It was easy for me to hop on and off the expressway to get to my work. Lots of shopping and restaurants were nearby.
