In all fairness the entire park is complete financial extortion. $7 for a cup of tea, beer at 1$ an ounce $20 for a Microwaved hamburger. The staff was quick to point out that they "mostly work for tips". Just sad that the government auctions off the services to the highest bidder willing to be the most audacious in their financial extortion.

"Very nice cabins right at the door of Yellowstone"
Everything was awesome about our stay at Headwaters. I'll just call out 3 things that may not be obvious in the hotel description on Expedia:
- unlike what the description of the hotel amenities on Expedia suggests, each cabin does have a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine, which is a major upside in such remote areas;
- the information booklet suggested that the convenience store next to the small gas station had some fresh produce and fruits; that is not the case at all, and most of the food sold there is in fact unhealthy junk food; but we did find a small selection of produce and fruits in the store by Old Faithful;
- there is no WiFi in the cabins, and when I tried the WiFi in the lobby, it didn't work at all; this is also a no cell service area, so do expect to be cutoff from the internet.

Only stayed for one very short night. Not even time to have breakfast! Beautiful cabin room. Friendly and helpful staff. Varied dining options - all looked really good. Guests all seemed very relaxed and enjoying themselves. Rather surprised any wildlife came close - obviously a very busy hotel. Perhaps the animals were coming to watch the humans!

Very spacious & immaculate renovated (real) log cabin with old-timey rustic aura but also electricity, comfortable beds, & small but modern (shower only) bathroom. Quiet, private wooded area has ample parking. It's a quick stroll to Grand Teton Natl. Park visitors center amenities. Could sleep 4-5 tho kids might bemoan lack of TV & internet. Lodging office provides WiFi. It's on gorgeous lake with marina, hiking trails, popular boat tours, & fabulous mountain views. Try the restaurant's trout & egg breakfast! We stayed here to have more hours at Yellowstone our last day there without driving to Jackson. NOT luxurious but a marvelous experience at a lower cost than most national park venues.
