Clean quiet hotel

Posted Mar 7, 2018
Pros: Quiet, even though it was right on the main drag. Comfortable and warm, once we got the shoes on the curtains to hold them away from the vent. Clean.
Cons: Water pressure!
Location: Mount Taylor is beautiful nearby, as well as El Malpais National Monument. Eat at Canton Cafe, Asian buffet! Also don't miss Blakes!
The staff was nice. On the 2nd evening, our keys didn't work for some reason. The maintenance person happened to walk by, and he offered to take the keys and fix them. He came right back with them. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. The breakfast is skimpy, pretty much cold cereal, instant oatmeal, coffee, and juice. The water pressure was very low in the shower. We had to put shoes on the curtains to hold them away from the vent on the window heater so the heat would come into the room rather than up the curtain. There are PLENTY of electrical outlets to charge your various gadgets, which is usually an issue...no crawling around on the floor trying to find outlets by the bed! Nice microwave, TV, and refrigerator in the room. The iron worked well. All in all, a decent comfortable room for a good price. Would stay there again, and would recommend to others.

Condition of unit

Clerk was complacent at best. Room key did not program until maintence came. Heat system seems outdated - no constant fan. It is old. Some stains on carpet.

Basic, mediocre room. Surprised it was as expensive as it was for a dated motel. I would put this room in the $58 dollar range. Overpriced for what we got including the mediocre breakfast.

The area was pretty marginal. The front desk clerk was not very friendly. Sink leaked. Water pressure in the shower was too much. So much so, the water was coming out of the shower before I engaged the shower.
