Basic hotel

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Very basic hotel for the price. Room 61 has 2 streetlights shining right into to the room with very light curtains so not a great nights sleep.

Perfect Hotel to stay in St Moritz

Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: The friendly efficiency and cleanliness.
Cons: I would say in this price range it was perfect
Location: Close to everything, take BUS No. 3 from the train station to the hotel (10 minutes) and from hotel to town by bus (7 minutes).
Hotel was perfect from the location, to the efficiency of the staff and the cleanliness and quality facilities in the room. If you book two or more nights up through August 2013 you will get a travel card for all local buses, mountain trains, cable cars in the area, its a good deal as these can run high otherwise.

Good hotel for sommer & winter holiday's

Posted Jun 19, 2013
Pros: View over the surrounding Vista
Cons: Nothing
Location: Away from the hustle & bustle of the town center when it's open during the season
The hotel sonne is located on the other side of the town and lake. However a free bus when you arrive by train will bring you to the doorstep of the hotel. The rooms are adequate in size and clean, most with a balcony overlooking the fantastic vista of the surrounding mountains. The breakfast offers a wide choice of continental gourmet delights that will satisfy even the most discerning taste buds. Unfortunately due to the off season most of the town was closed and the buzz that you would expect from St Moritz was absent. The hotels own restaurant was also closed due to the same reason. The hotel did provide us with a list of restaurants that remained open so we did not go hungry. This is a good hotel for a pleasant stay in St Moritz. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us. Alpine Pleasure

Posted May 31, 2013
Pros: Location and views, especially from the room terraces
Cons: none
Location: Absolutely beautiful- 5-10 minute walk into town, but every step is a reminder of just how breathtaking St Moritz is.
The breathtaking view of St Moritz from the Hotel is worth it alone. The Hotel is homey and comfortable and the service is outstanding.

Sonne Hotel, St. Moritz

Pros: breakfast bar was huge
Cons: location
Location: too far from train station
nothing dramatically wrong with the hotel; it was just quite a distance off the beaten path, and not close to the train station

Did not feel comfortable

Posted Mar 20, 2012
Pros: Pleasant staff
Cons: Lack of elevator and Internet
Location: Good. Not far from the railway station.
The hotel is not far from The railway station. It did not have a lift and I had to carry 2 heavy suitcases up the stairs. It did not have any internet or wifi during my stay and I was told that Internet was working only for the front desk which is meant only for the staff .

Good place to stay, not in heart of St. Moritz, but easy bus ride.

Stayed at the annex building for one night...nice, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good with a variety of breads, meats, fruits, cheeses, cereals, drinks. Conveniently located within walking distance of the lake, skating rink and running track.

Good Value

Posted Apr 13, 2007
Good value for St Moritz, close to the lake and a bus stop outside, just as well cause the taxis are expensive. Skiers can store their skis and boots at the cable car depot so no need to carry them back to the ski room at the hotel. Pizzaria is popular with locals too and you can find some good restaurants in St Moritz Dorf via the bus. (Skilift pass also includes the bus.)
