Retro lakeside paradise

A wonderfully retro lakeside motel. Funky combo stove/sink/fridge worked great. Did a lot of fishing from the dock, and took their rowboat out a couple of times. Almost caught about a 14 inch pike while casting a spinner off the dock. Free-standing, iron, grated, charcoal-fueled, picnic grill worked well for a couple of dinners. TV reception was great off the old-school roof-top antenna.

The place is very run down. They say it is a “resort” but it is actually a very low end motel. Horrible place, not clean at all. The sinks were stained and the shower head was stained/rusted and the water smelled so bad when we took a shower and there was only burning hot water that literally burned my skin. There was a stove and it was so gross, if you used it, you’d get some sort of infection. There was no air conditioning in 90 degree weather, we literally didn’t sleep the night because we were so scared of staying there and wanted it to be morning so we can just get out of there. Everything was sooo gross, never have I stayed in such a place. It was not cheap either, if I’m paying 100 bucks a night I expect it to be clean at the very least!!
