Stay away !

Posted Aug 12, 2016 on Hotels
The clerk was outside smoking when I pulled in and I had to wait inside the reception for her to get done before I was handled. There were lot of issues with cleanliness, quality of towels, sticky bathroom floor etc. My advice: Stay away

Bad hotel in a noisy town.

Posted May 10, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Modern decor and soundproof walls.
Location: Show off your loud machines.
The decor and furniture harkens back to the 70's. Analog TV. Bad lighting and musty smell. That wasn't the worst. The worst was the noise of the city outside through the thin walls. All night long and through the morning loud and obnoxious vehicles made as much noise as possible. Hotrods, tuned import cars, and trucks with loud air brakes kept the noise levels as high as possible. Never stay in a hotel on 10th street in Great Bend, Kansas. You might as well try to sleep on a NASCAR racetrack on race day.

Close to relatives homes.

Posted Apr 26, 2016
Pros: Nice room
Cons: Leave extra blankets in the room.
Location: Many places to choose from to eat out.
The room has just about everything I need. Also there was a convention center to visit.

Two lights were not plugged in, one at the head of

Posted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Relatively good breakfast
Cons: Make sure the lamps are plugged in.
Location: We were birding at Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira
Two lights were not plugged in. The one at the right side of the bed we finally got plugge din with difficulty. The other was on the table and by crawling under it we got it plugged in. The price was right, so I guess we should not complain too much.

Linen in terrible shape.

Posted Sep 23, 2015
Pros: Next to a mexican restaurant with cheap margarita's
Cons: reduce furniture, replace damaged linen, reduce prices.
Location: listen to trains going by and drinking margaritas.
The hotel room is overcrowded with furniture. The sheets & blankets had multiple cigarette burns on them, which is strange for a non-smoking room. The motel is right next to a railroad crossing which was noisy. The plug-ins were overloaded...i.e. the television couldn't be plugged in if you wanted the microwave & refrigerator operable. Overall, the price I paid (67.00) was way high for 1 person/1 night in a motel with such problems.

Smoke filled room. No possibility of changing. Broken lights and carpet dated and worn.
