Really nice hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Complimentary continental breakfast was a plus. Room was decently priced for same day booking.

Close to commuter train station

This boutique hotel is nice with well trained staff. The only drawback is the TV service is lousy. Very slow connection to Direct TV; sometimes had to turn TV on and off before it would begin to work. Other than this annoyance, I enjoyed my stay.

Just needed somewhere to sleep near JFK.

Posted Nov 2, 2017
I did not know there was no free parking. I had to valet park which cost $13. I just needed a place to sleep close to JFK. When I booked—the day of the stay—the price went up $40 while the Expedia employee was trying to make the reservation. For the price, I expected a little more. The air conditioner cycled on and off a lot, and every time it came on, it made a very loud noise for the first 2 minutes. Luckily I had earplugs which helped. I cannot comment on the breakfast because I didn’t have time to eat. Overall, it was okay but I would not stay there again. I did not have much time to plan my trip because I travelled to NY for a funeral.

The only place in town

Posted Oct 21, 2017
Pros: At night, when I was there, it was good to explore the small establishments.
Cons: Check the ac/heater units to assure an adequate seal.
Location: A lot of businesses are shutting down or have boarded up their stores.
It started with a banal greeting when I walked in to the hotel. Typical teenager Attitude. I get enough of that at home. The doorman was there to swing the door open every time I came or went. Nice touch. Hope he doesn’t get a heart attack. Gotta admire him for his patience. The room was slightly larger than I had anticipated, which is great for the area. However, on the second floor, I heard every street conversation, every bus, train and truck, all night long. The heater/ac was right at the level of my face, a mere 1 foot away. the cover they used didn’t quite fit the space and therefore you could see directly out of the room into the street. Brrrr. After an unfitful night sleep, I looked forward to a nice breakfast. It was cold cereal and coffee. There were more choices, but I had lost my appetite being a little under-slept. If you have to be in Great Neck overnight, this may be your only choice.

Boutique Hotel in the village of Great Neck.

The Andrew close to all you require. The staff are all knowledgeable, friendly and organized. Prepared to accommodate all your needs. Rooms are clean and linens and pillows comfy. Continental breakfast provisions were adequate and replenished. Close to shopping, restaurants, and train to NYC - 1/2 ride. All make this a no brainer choice. Rooms in center not in corners seem to be more light filled and fresher. Driveway a bit of a bear, but valet makes it all easier.
