One of many

Posted Nov 17, 2016
Cons: fresh milk
Location: Whaling museum, treetop walks
Very pleasant staff they seem a touch concerned about room security which may be more of a problem in the locale than specific to the establishment

There is so very much to see here in Albany and being located less than 2km's to the town centre and centrally located close to the main tourist route, makes us a great choice as a base to explore the Albany region. We are a little unclear of what you are referring to with regard to room security. We do keep all our communal rooms locked but these are accessible 24 hours a day to "inhouse" guests by using your room key. We thank you for staying with us and hope to welcome you again soon.

Sleep Deprivation on a Cold Night

Posted Oct 28, 2016
Pros: Staff service was good. Location was central. Indian food at the restaurant was disappointing.
Cons: With insufficient bedding supplied for a cold night, aircon was our only option. The outdate A/C unit pointed directly at my single bed. It's noisy warming cycle started by blasting cold air for about five minutes before eventually warming to a reasonable temperature only to shut off and then repeat this vicious cycle ten minutes later. This system should be patented as an instrument of torture and sleep deprivation. Please please! Update your A/C units.
Location: The location was central to most facililities in the town.

We are extremely surprised to read your review. We have spent the best part of the last two years upgrading, improving and refurbishing our rooms and facilities. Our guest's comfort is important to us and had you advised of any issue we would have, in the first instance tried to address the issue immediately and if this was not possible we would have offered to move you. Sadly, if there is any issue in a room, the first we know of it is when a guest advises us. Second to this in relation to your concern about insufficient bedding,we have standard doonas on all our beds. We also provide additional blankets and pillows, for those that feel the cold, in the robes in every room, We want our guests to be comfortable, had you mentioned you needed more than the 2 additional blankets in the robe we would have been more than happy to provide you what you needed.

A well set out motel close to city centre

Posted Oct 27, 2016
Pros: Rooms were OK. The breakfast setup was very good. It has a gym and pool
Location: Driving into Albany centre was relatively easy but it would be quite a walk.
A one night stay in two rooms that served us well - clean and tidy with all the usual facilities.

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. Our interconnecting rooms are a popular choice for guests for groups up to 6 people. We also offer the convenience of a communal kitchen that is fully equipped to cook up a storm (for those that want to be self-sufficient). Alternatively, we a located 1.8 km's from the town centre, where there is a plethora of cafes and restaurants to choose from. We also have "The Curry Leaf" restaurant on-site offering fine Indian fare. We also have a great communal games room with pool table, HUGE flat screen TV and an open fire to relax among friends and family. We thank you for staying and hope to see you again soon.

Love it

Posted Sep 2, 2016 on Hotels
Very warm welcome. Room was clean without overpowering fresheners. WIFI was strong even in the end room. Close to road but no noise. Great comfortable beds - best nights sleep of our whole trip. Kids loved the make yourself breakfast - and I loved the price. With slightly higher water pressure I would very happily stay forever. Thanks for taking care of the place so well - much nicer and well maintained than the "luxury resorts" we stayed at on the rest of our holiday

Wow what a great review!! We are so very happy your stay ticked all the boxes. A great night sleep is so very important and it's always difficult being away from our own beds, however, we have had rave reviews about the comfort our beds offer and are delighted you found the same. As a team, we are committed to ensuring our guests comfort and enjoyment remain at the forefront of all we do. We thank you for recognising our efforts. We hope to welcome you again soon.

central location, comfy, but noisy

Posted Aug 8, 2016 on Hotels
Could hear the conversations in the rooms next to us, and the front doors need to be slammed hard to shut them, so we were woken up quite a lot. Breakfast wasn't included had to pay extra for that so we didn't try their restaurant and can't comment. location in the town was great. had a notes left on car saying "late night massage full service in room 8" which was interesting. Parking lot is where everyones doors and permanently-open windows are, so woken up to a lot of noise.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Country Comfort Amity motel. Your feedback is important to us as our guest's comfort is at the forefront of all we do. We offer clean, comfortable accommodation at affordable prices, this being the case breakfast is not included (unless part of a package). However, at $9.50 per person offers great value as does our budget rooms at $99 per night for 2 people. We are sincerely disappointed you had a disrupted sleep. To avoid such an issue, in every compendium in every room we advise guests that quiet time is from 10pm till 8am and to ensure all guests are respected, we also advise of an after hours mobile contact should there be any problems after our reception closes. We would have been more than happy to address the noise issue you were experiencing immediately, however was not advised of any of the issues you raised in this review, sadly. The windows you have mentioned are fixed and do not open so it is unlikely these were the source of the noise. In relation to the note left on your car, I am at a loss as I have checked the bookings during your stay and can assure you we would not condone, nor permit, the suggested behaviour at our motel and as our investigations show we did not have a guest in room 8 during the time of your stay I'm at a loss as to the origin of the note. In conclusion our guest's comfort is important to us, however if we are not made aware of any issue we cannot address it. We do hope, despite the issues raised, you enjoyed your visit to the Albany region.
