Staff very helpful, room quite tatty needed updating, good communal area for eating Well positioned close to Metro Tap loose in Bathroom difficult to get shower to work Carpets in rooms and public areas past their sell by date Car parking but note height limit 1.75 metres It served our purpose for our trip but I wouldn’t stay there again In its favour was not expensive

Nice location. But, bad service in terms of net
The hotel is located in nice region. The metro is just 5 min by walking gratt ciel station. However, the net is bad and slow. The room is clod. I think the condionnig system should be added in the rooms.

Not to bad a hotel - but with great staff!
Reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. Please note that parking is height restricted - only 185 max. I was able to park outside the hotel but this is not protocol. Room itself was ok - nothing amazing so I am not sure what a normal room was like as mine was meant to be superior! Couldnt seem to control the heating in the room. All in all not a bad hotel and I would stay there again if I was in the area.

Lyon December 2018
The hotel was handy for the metro for getting about and reasonably priced given the Festival of Lights being on the same weekend we were there. Staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean but could have done with an easier to open window or air conditioning as the room was very warm. Great spot to stay when in town for the rugby, would recommend it as a place to stay.

Nice hotel but smokey.
Great location (3 minutes walk from the Metro stop Gratte Ciel). Staff were very pleasant. Hotel was very clean but the whole place smelt very smokey.

Room was clean but very basic. Beds were comfortable. The toilet and bathroom were separate rooms, with no sink/wash basin in the toilet. After using the toilet which was in a tiny room right in the entrance, one has to go through the room to get to the bathroom just to wash ones hands - a bit unhygienic! There was no shower curtain around the bath tub and the shower hose was not fixed, so was a bit tricky having a shower without water spraying out everywhere. Also, while there was free wifi available, it got disconnected every time the device is switched off or when you go off the premises, so was tiring having to log in several times.

Pleasantly surprised.
Excellent value for money, reading previous reviews meant my expectation was not high. However I was pleasantly surprised, friendly welcome and a reasonably sized room with flat screen and comfortable twin beds. Only negative was a hand held shower but bathroom well sized. Not a plush hotel but perfectly clean and comfortable.

Clean convenient hotel for one night stay. Metro and food shops close by. 30 minute walk to station. Catch Metro to get to tourist areas of old town on by the river.

I got a very good price on this website, and I have enjoyed my stay. It's not a 5-star hotel, but you get a bath tub, a cosy bed, and all that. The receptionists spoke reasonably good English, which was very helpful. Note that if internet is very important to you, this hotel might not be your best choice because I only got INTERMITTENT and WEAK Wifi signal.

Good hotel
The only bad thing I could say about this hotel is that the bathtub had no shower curtain or glass door, so it was tough to shower in. Other than that, the room is clean, the bed is comfortable, and there is free wifi. It is a bit of a walk from the train station, Gare Part Dieu, maybe 20-30 minutes. The hamburger place next door has good fast food. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so we can't review it.

Hotel Ariana - great hotel slightly out of Lyon
We stayed for 2 nights and found the hotel was great for our needs - the rooms were quiet and had air conditioning (although you cannot control it i.e. reception turns it on / off) and parking was provided in the basement for a surcharge. It is close to a supermarket/bakery and a number of cheap cafes for lunch and the metro is a couple of minutes walk to take you in to the old town and main centre. Would definitely recommend.

Okay, but not great
We only stayed one night (for which I am pleased). The hotel is rather shabby, with dark creepy halls upstairs. Reception was okay, friendly and polite. The room was clean, but the ensuite only had a bath with a handheld shower. It was impossible to get a constant temerature for the water (very hot or very cold was the choice). It was close to the metro to get into town centre (which was great, with loads of bars and resturants). It was okay for a cheap hotel I guess, but I wont stay there again.

Hotel Ariana is a pleasant enough hotel. The staff were pretty friendly. No kettle in the room which for an English couple was tough as no cup of tea in the morning. We had no intention of paying for the expensive breakfast but I think that's the case with most hotels. Be prepared for a lodging tax, not too expensive but just another added cost.

Pas incroyable mais pas horrible non plus
3 interphone différents pour accéder au parking, qui est en partis inondé avec accès au premier ascenseur via des palettes en bois ainsi qu'un unième interphone. Ensuite obligation de passer par l'accueil pour la moindre sortie, on en peux pas partir avec les clés durant notre séjour. Mais accueil 24h/24h pour actionner les interphones et nous rendre ou prendre les clés. Chambre ok, pas incroyable pour un 3 étoiles, vraiment le strict minimum. Thé, biscuits et savons compris Salle de bain sommaire, exigus et pas impeccable (joint noircir, cheveux, calcaire) Sinon le personnel est plutôt agréable et pour juste y dormir cela fait l'affaire.
