This is quite a nice hotel and has the kind of service you would expect for a premium priced hotel
However, the primary purpose of a hotel is to provide a place for guests to sleep and this is where the hotel fails miserably. The beds are without exaggeration the most uncomfy I have ever slept on. The mattress and pillows are so soft that they would appeal to only a very niche number of people. Anyone with a bad back or is in the overwhelming majority of people that prefer a medium to firm mattress should avoid this hotel.
My friend and I went for our birthdays, the staff were so friendly, especially Charles. Bed was so comfy and the bathroom is out of this world. The food was delicious also, can’t wait to stay again

Carpet and couch in room were stained.
Night manager challenged us on if we were residents just because they had a celebrity staying.
Young staff not very attentive. Lacked leadership.
I think this is the most expensive and supposedly best hotel in Glasgow. Located on beautiful Blythswood Square. Maybe we expected more.
• The sheer curtain in the room was torn and tattered and tied to the rail with string.
• The door to the the minibar cabinet fell off it's hinges.
• The AC in the room was not working. Our room was between 75 and 80 degrees. They gave us a fan. This was December.
• The mattress was so soft it was like sleeping in a hammock.
• Overall a disappointment. Would not stay again.
Lovely hotel, great spa, friendly and accommodating staff. the only reason for 4 stars was the breakfast both days was disappointing. First day in the restaurant the hollandaise just tasted of vinegar, the second day to the room, the pancake was tough and inedible.
Small complaints but given the cost a disappointing detail.
Kirsty on front desk, wonderful lady! Recognised id had a terrible few days and comp me a breakfast! Love the hotel and will be back with Mrs Marshall next time.

I did not like the bed at all - from the base frame (it looked dirty) to the hard bed and soft, useless pillows. The headboard also looked like it hasn’t been cleaned. The safe was not working. I did enjoy the lobby area and the staff was so friendly and helpful!

Staff was wonderful, especially in reception and at spa. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Loved the stay.

Beautiful hotel with wonderfully friendly, attentive staff. Room was big and comfortable. Nice bar and breakfast room. Concierge. Very helpful. Gave us maps and directed us in the activities we wanted. Public car park pretty far away, but hotel was excellent. Would highly recommend it.

The reception and spa staff were very friendly and helpful however the property standards were not at par with 5 star standards at all. We were given an upgrade at our check in the upgraded room had a worn out sofa with big stains as well stains and damage on the carpet. We asked to take a look at our original room if we liked that better and we did and moved back to the room we originally booked. During our stay we requested the room service for a couple of bottles of water and some amenities but either the requests were not fulfilled or only some items were provided. Overall, disappointing experience considering the price point with a lot of wear and tear on the hotel.

Nice location. Dining options limited and all areas were very cold with excessive air conditioning
A well-equipped central Glasgow hotel with notably friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet.
Minor criticisms: lack of good bread eg sourdough. Also it needs a simple cafe or brasserie for less elaborate meals, the menu choice for simple dishes is conspicuously poor.
Overall: great.
Hotel was great - Expedia customer service when I wanted to reschedule the date for one of the rooms however was awful. As a long-standing customer of Expedia I was extremely disappointed to be treated with such disregard!

The hotel building is beautiful. The staff attentive and courteous. The only thing is the upkeep overall of the property. It needs some TLC.
