I stayed here last night after getting a baby sitter for the first time in 8 months, we looked forward to a good night and relaxing stay but the noise level in the room was horrendous, reception staff just said oh sorry about that , they never actually cared it seemed

I love this hotel, however this time (our third stay) we were on the first floor and the noise from the pubs below was really loud. Also the emptying of the glass bins was horrific and went on all day into the early hours. I know this isn’t the fault of the hotel but next time I stay I’ll make a point of asking for a higher floor. The hotel was, as always, immaculate and the staff were lovely.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the rooms were well equipped, clean and spacious, the staff were very friendly. However we stayed thurs-Sunday and the music was very loud from the bar next door until 3am.

The property was fine however the room noise during the night was terrible between alarms on the street and the constant traffic allowing for zero sleep. It appears after speaking to reception in the morning that the room is renowned for this so perhaps asking for an inside room is required although this info beforehand would have been helpful

The staff were truly amazing. As we traveled overnight from Canada they got us into a room asap after we arrived. Rooms were nice and clean, only thing I can say is hearing the street and pubs if you are not used to it but otherwise we would return in a heartbeat.

Beautiful hotel but disappointing arrival
Beautiful hotel and possible the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in. My only negative with the hotel was I’d communicated we were travelling to Glasgow for a wedding and if possible could we have a early check in, which the replied saying they would aim to prioritise getting the room ready. Great! But once we arrived we were told this wasn’t possible due to maintenance. And after asking if there was somewhere we could get changed and ready the only offer to us was a toilet on the first floor. So no plug to do hair ect. Which after a 3 hour car journey was disappointing.

Great Location in the City
Our apartment was great except located on the first floor at the front and there was a very lively bar next door so not much sleep ! If I was younger I would have been in there ! I mentioned this on checking out and was advised to email ahead next time and request a quieter room. The location of the hotel is great for shopping and restaurants the Barra Market is a short walk away. We also had our Cocker Spaniel with us who was welcomed everywhere.

Disappointed, noisy room
We were given a room that had previously had many complaints about it. The noise from the bar downstairs was unbelievable! Couldn't hear ourselves think never mind talk or sleep! When we went to complain we were told, 'Don't know why they keep booking out this room when everyone complains about it as there's no soundproofing' We had to pack up our room and move at 11pm at night. The bar has live acts on till early in the morning. We were given a better room and a bottle of wine but my question remains Why were we given that room in the first place? The hotel had a tired feel about it, could do with a spruce up. The front reception staff were lovely and listened to our complaint and dealt with it promptly but it shouldn't have needed to be done! If we had arrived back later and there were no staff there what would we have done? They should NOT be renting that room out They should NOT be continuing to deceive people This is not a cheap hotel. My husband treat me for a birthday treat and this really spoiled the weekend. This has left us with a very bad taste in the mouth

Hi Kay. Thank you for your review. I am aware that you were initially checked into an apartment which is above one of the bars, and I am very sorry about this. I believe that you were not in the apartment very long and as soon as you contacted the Reception, we were able to move you. You were then upgraded to one of our Two Bedroom Executive Apartments on the fourth floor. Please note, we do have a 24 hour Reception and there is always someone here to assist our guests. Once again, I am sorry that there were issues with your stay. I will be in touch shortly to discuss your stay in full.

A noisy night kept us awake half the night.
We had a really disrupted night at the Fraser Suites. The apartment itself was beautifully decoarted and really comfortable. It was furnished with everything you needed. But the noise from outside was terrible and kept us up half the night. Music was blaring outside until 3am and then we were still kept awake by revellers shouting and talking outside. It would have helped if the windows were triple-glazed to keep out the noise, but they were only sash windows. We were booked in for 2 nights, but had such little sleep that we actually checked out after one night and booked in somewhere else much quieter.

Gorgeous suite!
Really beautiful suite. Great value for money, facilities and lots of space. Excellent location too, would definitely book again. Sadly double bed was two singles pushed together which always disappoints slightly. We stayed in room 314 and unfortunately directly above us must have been a corridor meaning the creaky floorboards were going all day and night!!! My partner is a light sleeper so this woke him up pretty early. Car park right next door and staff were helpful getting that sorted. Really nice place overall, just a wee shame about the floorboards!!!

My suite was wonderful. Spacious & comfortable and very clean. The staff could not have been more friendly. Their dinning recommendations were spot on. The property is well situated and within easy walking distance of all points of interest in the City Centre. It was a great base for my tour of Glasgow.
