Hotel with spa and pool

Posted Jun 24, 2017
Pros: Staff and room except for the bed
Cons: Mattresses need replacing and pool needs a refurb
Location: Was very close to shops and all amenities
Room was ok but bed needed a new mattress not topper with 2 sheets on top of it as the sheets just wrinkle up and make bed even worse. Pool has loose tiles but was refreshing after a hot day shopping Bar drinks were extremely pricey. All the staff were very friendly and approachable. Happy to help all the time

The staff at the Marriot made the stay

Posted Jun 4, 2017
The staff were efficient and friendly. Karen changed my booking to accommodate an extra guest on route to check in which was excellent and the breakfast staff Muriel and Joanne could not do enough for guests they were superb and the breakfast was also good. Hotel needs modernising but the staff made up for that. Well done

Conveniently situated hotel

Posted Jun 3, 2017
Pros: Big room with comfortable seats and table, good tv. Nice size of bathroom, plenty towels provided. Convenient location for centre of Glasgow. *Pool *
Cons: Cleanliness of sheets. More affordable options for breakfast. Reduction of noise.
Location: Great location, took around 15mins to walk to Central Station so convenient for restaurants and shops. Walked to Riverside Glasgow Museum (transport)
Enjoyable stay in Glasgow Marriott. Staff helpful and nice big room with good seating and comfortable bed (apart from feeling sheets not clean but maybe just me, few stains visible, felt "clammy"). On 8th floor so no noise from road, though heard noisy people late one night and heard noisy people in corridors a few times. We were rudely awakened on first morning by a very loud screeching (air in water pipes??) that lasted for over ten minutes. We tried to phone reception but found phone not easiest to use at that time in am (later realised there was button with icon for reception). Nice pool, steam room and sauna and changing rooms, though difficult to get our bearings as many nooks and doors to end up in cleaning cupboards instead of getting out or to pool and good hairdrying and shower gel, shampoo provided. (Locker in men's room had code entry which failed to open when code entered so help needed to open). Overall an enjoyable stay and would visit again. We didnt use any other hotel facilities (breakfast expensive ) mainly as we were too busy.

good location

Posted May 21, 2017
Pros: Everything was good. Not a posh place, but clean, comfortable and the wait staff in the restaurant was great.
The people were very helpful. Comfortable room. Food in the restaurant was okay, not great, especially the breakfast. Good location.

Usual Marriott Standard

Posted May 13, 2017
Pros: Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and friendly staff
Cons: Hotel pool needs updating and improving. Less chlorine would be a good start.
Location: Easy to get to the West End which has loads to do.
Nice hotel up to usual Marriott standards, staff very friendly, rooms well-equipped and comfortable, excellent choice of food for breakfast. Only negative was the pool which was pretty poor, very chlorinated, very shallow and suitabe really only for a quick dip.

Glasgow Marriott

Posted May 2, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, clean hotel with nice, bright bathroon.
Cons: The fitness facility with a pool is only accessed either down 6 floors of stairs, or through the lobby and out of the building. We can't walk stairs.
Location: There are closer hotels to the city center, but the rates were higher. There was always a taxi available, and only about a 6 pound cab fair.
Nice hotel within a close cab ride of City Center. Older hotel, but in very good shape. Everything was clean, and folks were nice. The housekeeping supervisor even personally checked to see if the room had been cleaned. I've never had that happen.

Great hotel, But!!

Posted May 2, 2017
All great here except when friends meeting in bar wanted to charge to room, was little embarrassed to be refused as hadn't stated this when checking in, but also wasnt informed need too, communication here should be better
