Der Glanz (lange) vergangener Tage

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: Schwimmbad
Cons: Alles renovieren
Location: Golfplatz

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Hotel is nice enough but Receptionist wasn't very helpful. We were Room Only but weren't offered the option to have breakfast and were only given the minimum of information. When we checked out we weren't asked about our stay. We didn't pay a lot for the room but you still expect to be made to feel welcome. Hotel itself was very comfortable.

Nice hotel on the stop over to the highlands

Posted Aug 13, 2015
The hotel isn't really a a Spa though. Still, it has a nice pool to swim and a sauna to relax from a long journey. The facility is a bit outdated, but has a nice view on the firth. I wish I could have stayed for a round of golf despite the tight travel schedule. The staff is friendly, but a bit bustling. Restaurant is ok, don't expect culinary surprises, still its worth to visit to enjoy the view.

Great views

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Ask for a room in the Leisure area the views are either of the golf course it the Clyde Estuary. Bathroom was a little shabby but room was huge with two large beds. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Pool area was fine but not enough loungers round the pool.

Enjoyed it but no disabled facilities.

Enjoyed our stay but no disabled facilities for my husband. Bath too deep. No emergency buzzer in room. Too many steps/stairs. Room clean & comfortable. Meals satisfactory.

Nice country hotel

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Great location in the heart of some breathtaking scenery. Easily accessible from Glasgow. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Hotel in need of modernisation, which is underway. Pool, sauna, steam room & gym excellent and open between 7am -10pm. Beds very comfortable. Our room was good size with furniture a little dated. Shower in bathroom not great with head being a little low, so would shower near pool area! This did not in anyway spoil our stay. Booked b&b with breakfast buffet being really good. Scenery during breakfast a delight. Would love to go back again. Glasgow truly is a wonderful city with surrounding areas such as Loch Lomond quite special.

Spectacular views

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Spectacular views all around, enjoyed the scenery on the river as well as the golf course side. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay comfortable. Overall we had a great holiday. However, on the downside, the room and toilet were clean but their standard could be better. Bedding especially pillows were not very comfortable. The interior of the hotel was not as neat and chic as reflected in the pictures shown while booking.

The pictures were misleading

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: The staff was great. They gave us directions and were friendly at check-in.
Cons: The room needed updating. The bathtub did not have a seal around the tile. The bathroom smelled like mold. It was very dated. Sheets were missing.
Location: It is on a golf course. Otherwise, there is not much nearby.
The pictures of this resort were very misleading. The rooms were old. The bathtub did not have a seal and the room smelled like mold. There were no wash cloths given. The staff was helpful and nice. The room was just very disappointing.

Good location on the Clyde.

The hotel is in need of some upgrade work. Also check in and out is slow and old fashioned. Great location.
