Lovely hotel very close to the city centre and car

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Very easy to find just off the M8. Multi storey car park right next to the hotel where you will receive a discount to park in. Very friendly staff room was comfortable and clean. Will definitely stay at this hotel again

Excellent hotel.

Posted Nov 11, 2016
Location: The hotel is a five minute walk from Glasgow Central Station. The main shopping areas are a ten minute walk away.
Our room was quite spacious and was cleaned every day. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Hotel

Posted Oct 23, 2016
Pros: Comfortable rooms, helpful staff! This hotel is also walking distance to the Central train station, another plus.
Cons: I wish it had been closer to shops and dining.
This was a very comfortable and well appointed room! Though the room was a little tight, the quality of the finishes made the room feel very comfortable. The staff were quite helpful with recommendations and the restaurant at the hotel was also a plus. Our only issue was that the hotel felt like it was more in the "business" district, so not as close to other dining or shops. That said, shops and dining were a short 3 to 6 blocks away. All in all - I highly recommend this hotel!

I was delighted to read that you liked our hotel. Whilst we are in the business district, Glasgow is a really compact city, with everything in easy walking distance. Regards Duncan Johnston General Manager

Very but that can be improved

Posted Oct 6, 2016
Pros: Quiet, relatively close to the town centre and an inviting bar
Cons: Not much space in the room particularly the wardrobe. No place to leave the suitcase. The bathroom was quite cold.
Location: Town centre 15 min walk. Train station 10 min walk

Excellent mid-range boutique hotel

Posted Sep 13, 2016
Pros: Friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Recently redone, lots of chrome and glass, modern both in rooms and public spaces. Quiet, comfortable.
Cons: Full menu restaurant but apparently understaffed as servers were challenged in providing service. Quality of food items at dinner disappointing.
Location: Great location. Close to train service, shops, all the best restaurants and museums. Quiet, comfortable, safe feeling.
Overall very positive experience from check-in through to check out. Hotel and staff are really fine, except the restaurant which may be understaffed, especially at the height of the breakfast hour, on all three mornings of our stay, taking as much as 15 minutes to take food orders, the breakfast far often run out of glasses, plates, butter or other food stuffs. More disappointing, for a restaurant with a michelin star chef, dinner was mediocre at best, especially the set menu meals. My fish was dry and tough, obviously overcooked, My wife's gnocchi main dish was mushy potato in a plain tomato sauce not bad, just very bland. Bottom line, good place to stay. Improve the restaurant.

Great location, friendly but disorganised staff

Posted Aug 30, 2016
Pros: location decor bar& restaurant
Cons: communication between staff members (we booked box breakfast and a wake-up call the night before an early departure, but morning staff weren't aware)
Location: Downtown Glasgow, close to Central Station Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street Gallery of Modern Art Charles Rennie MacKintosh buildings
This is a comfortable, nicely-decorated hotel in a great location -- five minutes walk from the central station and the downtown core, half a block from a stop for the airport shuttle bus. The staff were pleasant and friendly but somewhat disorganised. We booked a wake-up call which never came, and were supposed to get a boxed breakfast, since we were leaving early, which wasn't ready in time.

Front desk staff are top notch

Posted Aug 29, 2016
Pros: Staff at this hotel are super.
Cons: The rooms feel small.
Location: Within walking distance of Glasgow attractions.
This boutique hotel gets many things right, and most of all, their front desk staff can do enough for you.

Fabulous Hotel and an even better welcome!

Posted Aug 10, 2016
I have stayed at the Indigo Hotel group before so I know they are a boutique style. And this hotel in Glasgow was really terrific. The welcome we got from Felix and Colm was fantastic. The room had 2 queen beds. This was good for our family of 4. I must comment on the breakfast as whilst it was good to excellent for quality of food there was some serious lacking. Firstly the quantity of the offering was small ie. Plates of ham, cheese, and fruit and croissant was not refilled quickly - staff were run off their feet In order to keep up. How about putting out larger plates so It doesn't run out and people wouldn't have to wait. We had dinner at the Marco Pierre White restaurant which forms part of the hotel restaurant and two of us had pork belly. There were 2 very small match stick size pieces of cracking on top and it was served with broad beans and a salty sauce. It would have been nice to have a green veggie or potato One of us had the Caesar salad and apparently it was mediocre. The sweet was brownie and child 1 reported it was good. The overall service left a lot to be desired. The location of the hotel is good and close to mostly everything one needs as a tourist.
