Simply a room in a pub, not much more

The Inn itself is little more than a pub with rooms above it. Sadly, 2 of the 7 rooms (6 & 7 - I stayed in 6) are directly above the bar so if you're looking for a quiet village out of the way, this isn't really it. There's little to nothing in Strathyre and I booked this place as I couldn't find an available short notice B&B in nearby Callandar, though it's a short car journey to Callandar itself.
The room was basic and old fashioned including the CRT portable TV and radio alarm clock akin to items Bruce Forsyth would've offered as prized in the Generation Game.
Breakfast wasn't up to much, I had very watery poached eggs and my wife had scrambled eggs with enough butter to cause a coronary.
On the upside it was clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable though it did take until 00:30 for music bleeding up from the bar to die down and offer any quiet.
