It was fine. Cheap and functional. No problems. Nothing spectacular.

Pros: Staff were respectful and tried to keep it clean despite how run down the building was.
Cons: Updates needed everywhere. Don't call non-smoking hotel unless it really is. Outside looks awful.
Location: Great access to things. In a sketchy part of town relative to other nearby hotels. Needs to be mowed/garbage picked up everywhere outside.
Smokers everywhere. Hallways smelled of smoke. Broken air conditioner. Wall broken. Hotel lobby and rooms were clean but very worn down. Staff nice and tried to help with smell of smoke, loud guests outside all night. Sketchy property, not kept up outside. Hallways dirty. No ice machine.

3 nights stay for furniture market

Posted Apr 22, 2016
Pros: The bathroom was clean.
Cons: Breakfast could use an upgrade. Maybe have oranges and bananas....and make sure you are not running out. The decor could use refreshing.
Location: Long drive to High Point. 3 restaurants in walking distance. Eg: TGIFridays.
For market goers, this hotel is pretty far away from High Point. Breakfast is the barest minimum. Sometimes there were bananas. Otherwise, it's cold cereal, gross flavored oatmeal, toast or waffles. There were 3 restaurants in walking distance. One of them was ok. The shared computer was broken. The rooms could use refreshing.

It was the only hotel available.

Posted Apr 21, 2016
Cons: Throw out everything in the rooms and start over with new.
To start, the bathroom floors were sticky. Had to wear shoes everywhere in the room. We asked that the floors be mopped but they never were. I know the carpets were not vacuumed the whole stay! Bad pillows, poor room lighting, outdated furniture and a general sleazy appearance.

Will not stay here again

Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: Overall cleanliness. Breakfast was also poor; no napkins only paper towels. No "to go" coffee cups, only small, thimble size Styrofoam cups.
Hotel run down. Walls need to be painted. Elevator dirty. Air conditioner did not work well at all - kept cycling on and off all night. Door would not shut properly unless you pressed very hard on it. Reported to the front desk and they said they adjusted it, but it was still very difficult to get it closed and latched to feel secure at night. Bathroom walls were dirty, grout on floor and in shower was dirty. Yuck!
