Lacking Front Staff

When I arrived at 10pm, there was no front desk lobby staff. I waited almost 15 minutes for someone to come from back and check me in. This was after I even used my cell phone to call the front desk hotel to let someone know they need to come up front. No answer after 10 rings. At the same time, other hotel guests were waiting to purchase snack items. This area had been left open for guests to pick out their snacks and then pay the front desk. Since noon was at the front desk, it made this area very vulnerable. One guest waited as I did for about 10 minutes before the front desk employee came back up front. He could have just taken his snacks and left. He was visibly frustrated at waiting. Good thing he waited, his snacks totaled almost $22. This hotel needs more up front staff or at least if only one person works that late to put up a sign or bell and to close off snack area so that it isn't vulnerable. No receipt wa given to me at check in or under my door the next morning. I had to come down to check out and that staff person asked me what I needed and I said to check out. She asked room number and then said you are all good. I asked her if I could have a receipt. I don't understand why she didn't print one out since I obviously took the time to come down and check out in person. She was also too busy on the computer to help me in a courteous manner.
