An excellent environment for peace and quiet and to refresh the soul. A very welcoming staff and the grounds are beautiful. I would recommend this B&B to all who are looking for a relaxing and unique setting, yet close to downtown Greensburg and only 45 minutes from Pittsburgh.

A very special place
A unique, amazing place to stay. Sr. Renata greeted us warmly, explained how the B & B worked (basically, guests have the run of the whole guest house) and showed us to our room - The Garden Room. Double queen beds and loads of detailed touches to make our stay comfortable. There are 100 acres of grounds that belong to the monastery so it's great for a jog or a walk. And SO peaceful. Breakfast was help yourself with lots of choice. There are two sitting rooms and a beautifully decorated dining room, as well as (downstairs) a gift shop and TV lounge. Highly recommended.

Heavenly Place for Relaxation
IThe place was literally spotless. The hardwood floors showed no sign of dust anywhere. The bathroom was sparkling, plenty of towels, and a soft padded bath mat to step out onto. Small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash were included. The bed and pillow were extremely comfortable. There was a cozy corner electric fireplace along with a small refrigerator and microwave for our personal use, and a small one-cup keurig, with 2 mugs to use, and plenty of pods. Breakfast was in a formal dining room on the first level and included a place setting with a wrapped home made pastry and fruit cup. An adjoining room held a meat and cheese tray, hard boiled eggs, cereal, granola, yogurt, juice, fresh fruit, coffee/tea/hot chocolate. We sat at a formal dining table that made one think they'd be eating with royalty! Each fine detail added to the welcome feeling that we received when we were greeted at the door. Wi fi worked great in the main part of the building. No televisions in the room (which I personally prefer since I don't watch television) but there is a large screen tv on the lower level if you feel the need to watch something in your free time. This place is definitely off the beaten track, but not far from the New Stanton exit of the turnpike, and only 5 miles from Rt. 22. We were truly made to feel as if we were "at home" by the inkeeper and the Mother Superior, who made an effort to seek us out and welcome us to Robertshaw Country Guest House.

Bed and breakfast opened 24 hours to enjoy
Greeted at the door by the Benedictine Sisters and shown throughout a beautiful mansion on 100 acres was a delight surprise. Even more of a surprise was finding out that well stocked kitchen was available to us 24 hours...fruit, cheeses, yogurts, and various pastries. Situated in an extremely quiet area but close to a major highway with shopping and restaurants made it easy to get around... Although there was a large TV room on a lower level, there was no TV in the bedroom, nor a telephone, which didn't affect me but my roommate likes a TV in the bedroom... I had wonderful four night stay and would highly recommend the Robertshaw County Bed and Breakfast for people who are interested in a unusual place of generous hospitality . If you want to be where the action is, then forget this spot.

I LOVE SISTER RENATTA
My stay at Robertshaw Country House Bed & Breakfast was above satisfactory. I envisioned arriving at a comfy bed and breakfast and that is exactly what it was. The sister's were very welcoming and open to answering all of my questions regarding their life in the monastary. Th interior was decorated with vintage statuettes and detailed decor that you don't see everyday. The dining experience was well put together, featuring gold silverware on a fully set table. We were offered a large selection of gourmet food and drinks, and this food was available for our enjoyment throughout the day. The bedroom (Emma Room) had beautiful bedding and decor. The bathrooms were clean and offerred handmade soaps and bath salts. I plan to return sometime in the coming months. I look forward to revisiting and would recommend this destiation to somebody looking for a "home away from home" feeling.
