Spacious but needs a tweak or two

Posted Dec 20, 2016
Pros: Spacious. Generous kitchen facilities. QUIET.
Cons: Hot water not hot. Coffee maker didn't work properly. Cheap vertical blinds fall apart, bright outside light streams directly into into my eyes in bed
I appreciate having a kitchenette when I travel so I tried AS for the first time. Kitchenette is very generous with four stove burners and a double-width sink. Room has a strange layout but quite roomy. Note that it's virtually impossible to find the office -- there's no lights or splash, you really have to hunt for it. I called ahead advising the possibility of arriving late. In the event I made it in time but staff was already gone however Manager Josh had left a room key in an envelope for my arrival and I was all set. My room happened to be isolated -- no rooms on either side -- so I had a supremely quiet night, which I also appreciate. CONS (minor) Strong chemical-cleaner smell when I entered, fortunately the window opens for air. Hot water was inadequate for a shower (barely warm). Coffee maker spat out about half a cup and then quit. TV lists HBO but doesn't play it. Cheap vertical blinds fall out of the window when you try to close them and the way the room was set a stream of intense light poked right through them and right into my eyes when I tried to sleep. I've learned to bring my own cooking utensils and it's a good thing I did, some of what was furnished shouldn't even be sold in a junk store. PROS Dishes and utensils were fine. Bed reasonably comfortable. Quiet environment -- the hotel does not allow children. That helps.

Unexpected!!!

Check in was great easy and very efficient! We stayed 4 days. Manager was very accomodating and pleasant! Housekeepers were quiet. The room needed an upgrade but other than that, were looking forward to our next visit! Thanks

This one delivers!

Posted Jul 1, 2012
Pros: Personal service A+
Cons: No Wi-Fi....
Location: n/a
This is a simple straightforward hotel that delivers everything it promised. Very Spacious rooms, clean, comfy bed and even a kitchen. All this at a very competitive rate. Don, the owner I believe, helped us out when we came in late from a long exhausting road trip. That's a nice personal touch. The only thing my room could have used are some additional painting/pictures on the wall - it was kind of bare. Also, I did not pick up a Wi-Fi signal, but that could have been my fault. All in all - very much recommended!

Nice Place!

Posted Mar 5, 2012
Pros: A suite for the price of a less expensive motel! Full stove and fridge.
Cons: I had nothing to complain about
Very pleasent appearance. Clean room and affordable! I wouldn't think 2x about staying there again.

Wonderful

Posted Feb 13, 2012
Pros: The room was basically a 1 Bed 1 Bath apt. Living room, kitchen, spacious bathroom, just no doors separating them.
Cons: Would have been nice to have had eating utensils.
The quality was more than worth the affordability.

Nice, clean and basic

Posted Jun 28, 2011
If you are looking for a clean and safe feeling place to sleep in Greenville, NC. This hotel was fine. There are no amenities (except cable tv and wired internet access). The parking are is well lit and the neighborhood seems nice. The room was well maintained and had bedroom and kitchen / living room. The kitchen did not have any dishes, cookware or utensils (bring your own). Everything worked fine. Nothing fancy.

Basic but clean

Posted Nov 21, 2010
The hotel was basic with no frills but was clean. Arrived late and had to call for check in. Everything was in office mailbox. Office not open on Sundays so check out was just leaving key back in mailbox. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, etc was not supplied.
