Drive a little farther.Don't waste your money here

Just putting this out there for anyone who uses Hotels.com to book rooms. We booked a room through the in South Carolina during our drive up to Virginia. When I got to the hotel and checked in there were a couple women fighting a few doors down from where I was set to stay. In addition to that, there were a few naked guys in that room with them curtains open and door wide open as well (this was also around 1130pm). I went right back to the desk and explained the situation and was assured I would be taken care of and that the lady who worked there clearly said she would not have stayed either (traveling alone with 3 kids in an unknown area) but she was going to go say something to them (let's make the already mad women angry with me for telling on them!). Anyways, contacted hotels.com after the hotel directly wouldn't respond to me anymore. I could not get the hotel manager on the phone and she mailed me a letter (poorly written with text speak and addressing a bug issue which apparently they have if it was already in the letter draft but I never got to my room so I don't know). I was able to get a resolution with the hotels corporate office luckily someone was willing to fix their error. Hotels.com does not stand by their guarantees and I will definitely never use them in the future! So just a heads up if you decide to use them.... Hope for no issues because they are no help whatsoever!
