Although the staff member I encountered initial approach was friendly , his attitude changed when (1) I unfolded the the folded registration form so i could read it better, and (2) I initialed within the circle he had drawn around the 3 lines he wanted me to initial. He seem to have taken offense to this action , he acted like I had created a major catastrophe by not initialing the 3 lines individually. He copped an attitude when I stated I saw nothing wrong with placing my initials within his drawn circle covering the 3 lines . Instead he made some kind of comment that I would not do that when signing a contract. Instead of offering to redo the registration form, he decided to tell me , he would refund our money and we could find another place to stay. I told him if he did that I would report him to corporate . as he was stating this, he had walked away from me and was head back to , I have to presume, the office . I stated my displeasure on how this was being handled , and he made again the statement about refunding our money and find another place to stay. I repeated the statement about reporting him to corporate and he then threatened to call the police on me. i told him to go ahead.
We ended up with getting our refund and NOT staying at this Days Inn. First hotel have been to that made me feel I did not want to stay at, even prior to meeting staff.
