Overall good stay but there was no one at the desk when getting in and when she finally came , she attempted to charge full price for a room we’d already paid for. They need a bell or something near the desk if they’re short staffed so we aren’t just standing there waiting for service. The bathroom was not spotless which is what I expect from a hotel.

When we walked into the lobby, there was no one at the front desk to greet us, and it said go to first door on the left. No one answered at the door was walking back to the front desk, and someone came out from the back asking if they could help us. When we booked the room There was nothing mentioned about the hotel being under renovation. But later we found out the prices were jacked up due to a Christmas parade being in town. I think we were overcharged due to renovations and inconvenience. Light switches in the room did not work. Had loose wires under the AC unit. Not sure if they were live or not. On the website it says they had a pool which they did but it was not to be used Due to renovations. The bathroom did not even have a toilet paper holder due to renovations, toilet paper was on the back of the toilet.

We booked our room 3 months in advance for our stay in Greenwood.  When trying to check in we were unsuccessful due to a system error. The manager on shift Sheila McCool was not very empathetic. My bank showed the hotel amount was deducted but the hotel's system showed differently. Mind you they had a few other guest that had problems checking in due to a system error. Instead of ensuring that we had a room, Ms. McCool left her shift before the problem was resolved. We traveled over 275 miles and she was not concerned that her guest was standing in the lobby with NO room.  Since there was no longer a manager on site we were advised there was nothing they could do. After speaking with my bank and still standing in the lobby for almost an hour, miraculously the hotel staff saw where the room was paid. Turns out the hotel implemented a new system and it was slow with updating the information. The lack of empathy and poor customer service made our experience at this hotel very depressing and unsatisfactory.

I never got to stay at the hampton’s. I made reservations through Expedia. When I got to Hampton inn they told me they didn’t have any rooms. They said Expedia had been sending people to them even though they were full and told them so. Hampton inn said they would contact Expedia for me a refund , they never did, least I didn’t receive one. I have contacted Expedia several times and have had no response or received my refund, I will never use Expedia again, they are sorry. And I will never stay in a Hampton inn again, although it has always been my first choice. Never again

The website tells you the hotel is pet friendly. It DOES NOT mention you have to pay a $75.00 pet fee. There was what looked like pubic hairs on the shampoo bottle and in the shower. The drink machines stay sold out of most drinks and there is no change at the front desk for vending machines.

I payed for my room threw Expedia, and got to the property and had to pay again in order to get the room i have may statements on my credit card to prove it i would like a fill refunf for my stay with interest because i know capital 1 will still charge the interest on both card Thank you in advance

First the reservations were canceled by the hotel! Because they tried to debit money from the card early even tho we were told we would not be charged to the day of our stay! Then we had to end up paying more than what we were told we would be charged for the room! The bathroom was dirty, the carpet was not clean chicken crumbs were everywhere! Even at check in they kelpt declining my card even after transferring the money to another card in front of them and they declined that one as well only to show later the card was charged. And only after using my HUSBAND DEBIT CARD!! THE HOT WATER WAS BARLEY LUKE WARM! THE AIR CONDITIONING SUCKED! FRONT DESK BKAMED THE WHOLE reservation drama on HOTELS.COM! Glad we were checking out early for a graduation!!

Another great stay
Upon arrival into the Hotel i was greeted by the friendly voice of CAM at the front desk. Check-in was quick and my husband and i were on our way to visit family. The cleaning staff was awesome along with the ladies in the food area. While eating breakfast on Saturday George and I were approached by the Manager Sheila who was a very cheerful and welcoming person. This was not our first stay at the Hampton Inn in Greenwood, MS so we knew what we were getting. My words to everyone I spoke with was "We'll be back" Last but not least, Marcus the young man on the evening shift is a all around gem! Kudos to the entire staff.

One complaint I had was that I was not advised of the $40 incidental fee until I got there to check in. Thankfully, I had the $40 on my card. What if I didn’t have it??? The other complaint I have is there was some mold in the crevice of the bathroom tile, in the shower. Other than that, everything was nice, and the front desk clerks were too.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn in Greenwood, MS. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was professional and friendly. Checking in and checking out convenient and in a timely manner. The Continental breakfast was great.

I’ve stayed at the Hampton in Greenwood many times and I’ve never had a bad experience. Everyone is always friendly and kind. I always feel welcomed there. The front desk staff is the absolute best of any place I’ve ever stayed.
