Nice resort on the beachPosted Sep 30, 2015
Overall nice resort that was right on the beach. Needs some updating but worked for what we were there for. Room was nice but needed updating. Only one area to eat, other restaurants were not open. Tried to book outside excursions but there was never anyone in the office to do that. Was able to rent snorkel gear but sail boats were not available. Doesn't have a spa or massages. Location was great, not far from airport and other beaches if you want to go there. Quick drive to St George's. Overall nice place and worth the price depending on what you are looking for

Great holiday at Grenadian by rexPosted Aug 16, 2015
My husband and l had a wonderful vacation at Rex in Grenada! Reasonably priced, clean, plentiful food and drink, friendly staff, spacious grounds for afternoon strolls, beach was great for bathing and snorkeling, safe. We enjoyed two evenings of entertainment! Yes, I would recommend .It is not a luxurious resort but it was well worth the price !

The second trip.............Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Perhaps lunch could be moved to the indoor dining area. There are just too many flies and birds by the poolside lunch area. They are very anoying.
Location: The location is great since it's so close to the airport as well as near the downtown area. There is a local club in the area as well as stores.
This was our second time staying at the Rex. It was a great experience as usual.

Nice and spacious hotel on the beach.Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: spacious grounds, nice beach, close to airport. This hotel has a lot of potential. Need new owners that is motivated and change with the times.
Cons: food menu should have more local cuisine,, bartenders was not good. The drinks were terrible. More entertainment. Welcome guess with a coconut water
Location: ten minute walk from the airport. Short drive to spice mall and public beach.
The Rex is a ten minute walk from the airport. Not good for people with bad knees because a lot of stair climbing. Stayed for 4 nights with my sister. Its very quite and boring. (We wanted mostly quite.) We had one night of entertainment till 9:30pm and that was good. Food is normal. Not much local cuisine. Some of the staff was really nice and friendly. I enjoyed the peace and quite. Nice place to go if you just want relaxation. Our room was always clean and got clean towels all the time. Bed creaked with every toss and turn. I would go back again. Big Up to Petra, Chad , Jennifer and Zecron. My only negatives are: we got there early and they made us wait till 3pm to check in and too many cats. Not a cat person

Value for MoneyPosted Apr 18, 2015
Pros: Very scenic and relaxing setting at the Grenadian by Rex Resort
Cons: The no short pants policy at dinner should be stated at the time of booking to give guests a choice.
Overall the staff seems well trained, friendly and helpful. Very good meals and clean and tidy facility. But I had to wear one pants to dinner nightly since there is a no short pants policy at dinner. Meanwhile, a bunch of kids were moving freely around the dinning space in short pants and slippers

Terrible Bar staff, rude and slow. Rooms ok. Not really all inclusive as so restrictive with choice and times.

Pros: The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are well kept.
Cons: Elevators .
Location: Nice location and close to the airport. The beach is not bad either.
The hotel has no elevators and its situated on hilly terrain. It's very spread out and one has to walk a lot to get to any of the facilities . The rooms are situated on top of the hill and with no elevators, you have to walk up several flights of steep steps. Plus you have to carry your own bags because there's isn't any Valet service . If anyone has disabilities or aged or just difficulties with walking, this place is not for them. You can see the beach but you have to walk some distance to get to it. Same thing with accessing your meals. The property overall is nice but only suitable for the very fit.

We stayed at the Rex one night before going to another resort for the rest of our stay. This was planned intentionally. We are very picky but choose the Rex because of its location and our short term plans. The Resort offers a beautiful setting and great location, literally 3 mins from the airport. It is much older and dated than we thought but the staff is all so kind and welcoming. The property and rooms are exteremly clean. We arrived late (10:05) but the front desk called the resturant mgr and they held it open so we grab a quick bite to eat. I thought that was very thoughtful. The place overall has so much potential. They put fresh flower pedals all around the room adding some lovely touches, it made us feel special. Not even close to the level of rooms we typically stay in but with so much effort made by the resort it would be hard to say anything negative. This place would be great for families or a couple with a conservative budget. The ocean views, their beach and the pool location is definitley five star. Rooms are very old style and the beds are very hard. Linens were nice and room was very clean.
