St Lucia 2018

Pros: The staff was awesome
Cons: Check in process could be more informative
Location: Diving was great, watersports were fantastic, and of campus tours were very enjoyable!
Wonderful resort and incredible staff! Rooms were great as ocean view was very nice with coffee in the morning. La Jardin restaurant is worth the extra charge, great meal!

Exquisite setting...excellent service; HOWEVER...

Pros: The paradise setting...gorgeous beyond belief!
Cons: The production budget for the nightly shows
Location: Joy Cruises, Segway, shopping, Piton Mountains!!!, swimming, snorkeling
This place is truly paradise... fantastic vistas, pools, beach, service, food; HOWEVER, the production value of the entertainment was TERRIBLE! No stage lights, bad sound system, terrible acoustics. The actual talent was adequate to really quite good, but the production budget for the shows was SIMPLY AWFUL ... totally incongruous with everything else, which was exquisite and breathtaking! Nature's tropical beauty not to be missed! Amazing.

Nice Hotel

Pros: Excellent food!
Cons: Nightly entertainment ! Pool tables, table tennis and games would be nice. No country music in a Caribbean resort please. Earlier check in!
Location: We stayed in the resort, since we know the island very well. Beach was small but just fine.
We stayed just 4 days for relaxation and had a great time. Food was excellent, so many choices. The hotel offered a few restaurants but we decided to go with the buffet every night, so we can sample different types of food and not once we were disappointed. Room was very spacious and clean, but the bed was a bit soft and uncomfortable.

This was a great hotel lots to do. The food was amazing, meat and eggs free run. Most of the fruits and vegetables were grown on the island. The view from the room was great.

Great hotel and very nice staff. Great beach. They have lots of activities and water sports available.

great value for price - beautiful views

Pros: free food, drinks, and water sports. Very friendly staff.
Cons: pools could be open later; more lunch options
Location: LOTS of options for activities off the resort; easy to plan once your at the resort, don't worry about it ahead of time.

Needs uograding

Staff are wonderful and friendly overall, except those that kept treating my husband like he shouldn’t be there as a guest. He was born Lucian but has been in the US for the past 20 years, so he paid his way there just like anyone else and they kept treating him like he shouldn’t be there. The price is much more than the level of the rooms and areas. The rooms had two double beds with one twin comforter on them. Very uncomfortable for 4 people and there wasn’t extra bedding and overall they were small. The chairs in the lounges and by the pool were very uncomfortable. The food is really good and the staff at the restaurants, water sports and playmakers were great. The beach bbq was excellent. Overall, it needs to be upgraded on its looks and comfort. We will not likely stay there again. This is our third time and each time it has gotten worse. When I am paying $8000 for a vacation, I want the top of the line, we got 3 stars.

Decent all-inclusive

A lot of options for food and drinks. The drinks were pretty good compared to Sandals Grande. Hotel room was beautiful. The pictures didnt do it justice, I was surprised. Had a nice variety of water sports. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. However, the carts to take you around the resort took a little long to get you and we had to leave the hotel on Saturday night because the only thing happening was kareoke which was a bit boring. Also the pool was dirty.

Poor service

Check in felt like interrogation. They even asked for a copy of my expedia booking to be shared with them for their "records" even though they had my reservation on file and I showed my passport. Eventually after some effort to find it on my phone it became a non issue. The wifi service is horrible. It only works in one small area in the lobby. I was placed in a room that has no access to wifi (next to the sewage) and after my protest I was given a free room "upgrade" where there was wifi access at a fee and only for one device at a time. Clearly their IT is stuck in the 20th century. I was attending a work meeting at the resort and therefore wifi access was critical for me and my team. When we met on the first evening none of us were able to access our shared files. It was frustrating and the poor attitudes of the staff at front desk just made it bad experience. One plus was the guys who drove the carts to take us to and from our rooms. They were fabulous- friendly and helpful. I kept thinking they should train the front office staff in customer service excellence. If given the option I wouldn't want to stay at this resort again.
