Great water sports. Secluded beach. Even though all beaches in st. Lucia are public, no other people besides hotel guests accessed it.

Beautiful views and i loved all the water sport options!!’ Thank you for having so many fast dining options during the day as well! I would have liked more options for plated/to order meals (we arrived Tuesday so had to buffet that night then Wed was the AMAZING beach party... but after trying the other places I felt like we missed out!) Things were kept clean and staff was mostly friendly—a few very bad apples though that got us off to rough starts! Overall most of the staff was enjoyable. Also the casino night and beach party were unexpectedly very fun!! Thanks for the unique activities and not just being “another” resort

Great watersports

St. James's Club has, as part of the all inclusive package, free water skiing, I've never come across any other place that has free motorised water sports before. The water sports staff are great, special mention to Bob who taught my husband how to sail a hobie. Food was great (put on about 5lbs in my 2 weeks) especially liked the soups and salads. Beach does not have crystal clear water like other resorts . which we knew before booking but is fine for swimming.

Let me start by saying the island of St. Lucia is Gorgeous. The hotel on the other hand needs some work. Our room was in building 500. It was so small we had to move the beds closer together to open the door to the balcony where I must say the view was absolutely beautiful. There were only 3 drawers for clothes. There was ONE American outlet which already had the coffee pot and the clock plugged in. There were NO outlets in the bathroom. The air conditioning was on 20 c and could not go higher. It was very warm and stuffy at night. We encountered at times the bar running out of their own beer and also running out of ice and nobody seemed to care. The attitude was “It is what it is”. The beach was very nice and the water was calm but there were a lot of fish that were nipping at your body. The bar service on the beach was scarce. The food overall was mediocre. The PlumTree Italian restaurant was the best. The Wednesday night beach party was a lot of fun. They definitely put a lot of work into it and did a great job. We did the zip lining/jeep tour which was great. We also did the Boat tour with Joy (on the beach) and it was Excellent. We had a mud bath, went to the waterfalls, went to a beautiful part of the island where the water was crystal clear and then went to his family’s restaurant for lunch where the food was absolutely delicious. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. Overall based just on the resort, I would rate St. James Morgan Bay a 2-3 out 5

Friendly hotel, great rooms, good resort

A thoroughly enjoyable week at this resort especially as I was travelling solo. Staff were helpful, a friendly atmosphere, great rooms and excellent water sports on the beach. Fabulous cocktails and there's food for all tastes. My only negatives were some broken drinks machines and broken gym machines which didn't appear to be getting fixed anytime soon. Plus I think the hotel should really invest in good wifi throughout, as most people gathered in the public areas where free wifi was supposed to be available but often without much success. On a good note it'll give you the opportunity to detach from work however staying in touch with friends and loved ones is still important. All in all a great resort for most.

No wifi at St James Resort

The hotel staff, primarily the front desk staff was very disorganized. It took us nearly an hour to complete the check in process. There was plenty of staff on duty and only one other person checking in but yet checking in took nearly an hour. Only a small number of rooms have WiFi. This was a problem. Expedia should make it clear that there is no internet in the room. The lobby has WiFi but it’s a very weak signal, the ceiling fans do not work and the mosquitoes will feast on you while you’re there. The food/restaurants were good. The rooms are okay, make sure you request a room with a king size bed, otherwise you get a room with 2 twin size beds which is very uncomfortable. I would not stay at this property again. I did not enjoy the stay. We stopped over in Ft Lauderdale on the way home, the Courtyard Marriott felt like the Four Seasons Hotel compared to St James. It was the first good nights sleep I had in a week in Ft Lauderdale.

NO Wi-FI, but very nice overall

Pros: - Beautiful Beach - Plenty of food and restaurants (just be careful, because you need to book in advance) - All trips right from the beach with JOY cruises. - Beautiful hotel and surroundings!!!! Cons: - NO WI-FI in the room. Cheaper rooms have to sit in the lobby to catch very bad wi-fi. Top of the hill rooms have option to buy it for $10/day. If you came to work remotely this it absolutely not the best place. - Outlets in the rooms are located far away from bed. So you can't relax in the bed with your phone if it is not charged. - Pier restaurant was not so good as well as fancy one with surcharge (absolutely not worth the money). Pizza place and buffet are the best. - Liqueur was very low quality. One time we even got sick from mohito. Consider taking couple good bottles with you. - Entertainment was locals playing different instrument. not a lot of fun. In general we had absolutely amazing experience with the island, and consider this one of the best from Antigua, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Mexico. The quality of food is satisfactory, this is the island after all.Will definitely come back here!
