great value for price - beautiful views

Pros: free food, drinks, and water sports. Very friendly staff.
Cons: pools could be open later; more lunch options
Location: LOTS of options for activities off the resort; easy to plan once your at the resort, don't worry about it ahead of time.
very enjoyable. Would consider booking again. great views and activties. Easy to access activities off the resort.

Needs uograding

Staff are wonderful and friendly overall, except those that kept treating my husband like he shouldn’t be there as a guest. He was born Lucian but has been in the US for the past 20 years, so he paid his way there just like anyone else and they kept treating him like he shouldn’t be there. The price is much more than the level of the rooms and areas. The rooms had two double beds with one twin comforter on them. Very uncomfortable for 4 people and there wasn’t extra bedding and overall they were small. The chairs in the lounges and by the pool were very uncomfortable. The food is really good and the staff at the restaurants, water sports and playmakers were great. The beach bbq was excellent. Overall, it needs to be upgraded on its looks and comfort. We will not likely stay there again. This is our third time and each time it has gotten worse. When I am paying $8000 for a vacation, I want the top of the line, we got 3 stars.

Poor service

Check in felt like interrogation. They even asked for a copy of my expedia booking to be shared with them for their "records" even though they had my reservation on file and I showed my passport. Eventually after some effort to find it on my phone it became a non issue. The wifi service is horrible. It only works in one small area in the lobby. I was placed in a room that has no access to wifi (next to the sewage) and after my protest I was given a free room "upgrade" where there was wifi access at a fee and only for one device at a time. Clearly their IT is stuck in the 20th century. I was attending a work meeting at the resort and therefore wifi access was critical for me and my team. When we met on the first evening none of us were able to access our shared files. It was frustrating and the poor attitudes of the staff at front desk just made it bad experience. One plus was the guys who drove the carts to take us to and from our rooms. They were fabulous- friendly and helpful. I kept thinking they should train the front office staff in customer service excellence. If given the option I wouldn't want to stay at this resort again.

Nice hotel but...

Generally a nice hotel but all inclusive is not totally all inclusive. You don’t even get WiFi or even bottled water in your room but if you want to have this you can have it for an additional cost. Hotel staff not so friendly some were but most weren’t. Drinks at the pool start from 10am. Pool opens at 9am.

We do have re-filling stations around the property and apologize if you encountered anyone unfriendly on property. Awesome staff, great food! It’s a smaller resort , older condition, but has a great family atmosphere with a beautiful private beach

Excellent Resort.

Pros: As above.
Cons: Very little.
Location: North west of the Island , didn't go out of the resort.
Offered on Expedia , we accepted this in January. The resort was all we hoped for , excellent menus , helpful and friendly staff and good value. Well worth a visit.

could have done without Maria

Cons: information distribution help with airline bookings free shuttle to castries and rodney bay
everything was ok up until Maria arrived before was having a relaxing time, although food at Le Jardin was acceptable, found others below standard for this class of all inclusive, and alcohol noteasily available, closing one bar, opening another trouble started when "Maria" came, there was no official statement by the hotel, first we knew was the warnings on tv and the workers throwing the loungers into the pool on sun. evening from sun. evening virtually locked in room, limited boxed food, no alcohol, but still charged full price was meant to check out mon. morning, but airport was closed, tried to get airline, but office closed and booking# not working on website expedia rep in st. lucia had given us their office # and her cell #, tried continually to ring but no one answered tried to get help hotel but they just rang same #s when went to airport tues. found was not on flight and ended up late at night ringing travel agent friend who booked us on earliest flight on thurs. 21st the extra night mon. was spent at Morgans Bay, at a Rate of $300, for this got unmade bed, housekeeping was coming once with a cold boxed meal of chicken, no alcohol only water and coke, spent whole time locked in room and didn't get any information til late tues. all in all probably will not go back to Morgans Bay, got the feeling they are only interested in getting your US$ and not giving you value for your money As for your agent in St Lucia, well i don't know what you are paying them for!

Family oriented resort

Pros: Great staff
Cons: Rooms should be steam cleaned occasionally. Hotel trams (if that's what they call them) should be available to move guests around compound.
Location: Visit Rodney Bay, the Pitons, mud volcano - all interesting
St James Club (all inclusive) was recommended by a friend. The facility is a bit old and our room was musty to the point where my sinus got infected. The TV was small and the mini bar was not part of the all inclusive package. It's great for families but does not offer much as a couple's get-away; lots of kids all over. Due to hurricane Maria, the beach was in a mess and one restaurant was damaged leaving just two available as the third had a cover charge of US 35 pp. On the plus side, there was a cafe, snack bar and Pizza place among other food options; the menus offered various options. The compound is hilly and fairly large, so it is not suitable for elderly or handicapped visitors. In house entertainment need some work
