Leuk hotelPosted May 16, 2015

Country hotel, within minutes to Grouville.Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Food, rooms, dtaff, manager Anna, nothing not to like.
Cons: More electric points in some of the rooms.
Location: Minutes from Grouville and Gorey
Short break with my Mum, lovely hotel, staff and food. Should be 4 or 5 star

Nice for a short break onlyPosted Apr 23, 2015
Tidy and clean rooms, helpful and knowledgeable staff, close to the beach, but not enough to do at the hotel itself and you will get bored in the evening if you don't go out. Carpets in room very soile, walls and outside staircases need painting/are rusty, no ashtrays therefore cigarette ends everywhere, heating didn't work in room. Stayed for 2 weeks and started getting disappointed after week 1. Weather warm during the day but heated swimming pool closed throughout my stay. Would rate as the 3 star hotel as rated by the AA in Jersey, and not 4 as on Expedia. You get what you pay for basically.

Priceless retreat! :)Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Good room, facilities,as you'd expect with any good hotel. The staff were the focal point. Anna was amazing. The guy behind the bar, top man! :)
Cons: A little TLC to update the place, some of the fixtures were a little tired
Location: A short journey to Gorey Castle and the restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend the "Crab Shack", the "Feast" and the "Sea Scale"... AMAZING!! :)
I booked our room along with two others for family. We had a wedding to attend in Gorey Castle and the Beachcombers was in an ideal location. With a bus fare of sub £2 from the hotel to the castle and nearby restaurants or an £8 cab fare it was an ideal location. The area is lovely and quiet, the hotel itself is spacious with good food and very comfortable rooms. What really makes the hotel is the staff. Anna, she is a real gem! Nothing is too much trouble, I have visited hotels all around the world and am astounded I found the best customer service in a hotel based in Jersey! :) Anna made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and ensured any requests were dealt with promptly and efficiently, I cannot rate her highly enough. We intend on returning in July for a couple of weeks so we can enjoy the island at our own pace and would not consider any other hotel. To be honest there are a few areas that some might consider dated, however the rooms are spotless, the beds are incredible, facilities are better than good, location is perfect for the guest who wants some quiet but is able to reach the town quickly. If you can get a deal with your stay to include breakfast I would recommend this as the standard is good. They also provide Soya milk for Vegans and Vegetarian sausages on request. To summarise: A beautiful hotel that accommodates their guests fully. Anna also arranged for flowers to be delivered to our room (4 year Wed Anniv)... Thank you x

Excellent value!Posted Apr 8, 2015 on Hotels
We had a great stay at the Beachcomber. Its well located with an easy walk to Gorey and close to bus stop into St Helier. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a meal on first night and restaurant very good and reasonable prices - but last orders a bit early for us at 8pm. Only tiny fault with room was with shower as it has low water pressure and could be cold. Otherwise, really good value (we had 50% discount - but still good at higher price)

Lovely little hotel at a great pricePosted Apr 7, 2015 on Hotels
Nice area, friendly staff, big comfortable bed, clean room. Didn't visit the restaurant or bar. Only criticism would be that the room doors closed very noisily so you could always hear other people coming and going, but on the whole a great hotel.
