Friendly people but definitely more rustic/basic

Modest place with greatly attentive staff. We appreciated the advice to pack food since there is nowhere close to eat.

Overall good, especially for the price. Though I am picky with details, thus the things that should be improved: 1. The kitchen sponge was old and used. This is unacceptable. 2. Plugs in the kitchen did not work so coffee etc had to be brewed on the floor in the room. 3. There was a TV and an electric chimney in the living room, but no remotes - thus useless. 4. The rooms were not quite as booked: instead of 1 king size in one room and 2 queen size beds in another room, there was one queen size in the second "bedroom" and a sleeper couch in the living room / kitchen. Thus no room without anyone sleeping, which was kind of annoying in terms of kitchen use.. Everything else was good and especiall considering the price - we paid 60 bucks per person, for a good location in Yosemite.

    • Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities

The room full of a cobwebs, the carpet smells mildew and stinky feet, the heater is broken, the water is very dirty and liquid like a mucus came out, the bed is very itchy, no breakfast, no restaurant, the old woman that works there Is very rude and didn’t want to hear about your complaint. Don’t stay in here!

This is a great lodge. Close to the river, which is easy to get to. The room was very nice and clean. And the staff was very nice. Unfortunately we were there when PG&E decided to turn off the power due to high winds. The staff alerted us of this at check in. And they were very accommondating. Also the Lodge itself is close to Yosemite, and there are restaurants not to far.
