“Beautiful grounds, but no restaurant or real hospitality
The grounds are well kept and the pool is beautiful with lush vegetation around it, about 1.2 hours from Quito. That's where the positives end.
There is no functioning restaurant despite what's advertised — we were directed to a roadside eatery up the street with questionable sanitation. "Included" breakfast required scheduling an appointment and lady was not there a worker came out and told us to waited to brew coffee; we skipped it……
“My experience was that my reservation was not accepted. I had to pay cash, and was lucky that they still had a room.
The place itself is wonderful, with friendly staff, excellent birding, great food.”
