Lots of logistical snafus but a nice space overall

This is a condo property and not a hotel. So the units are managed by a property company. It's in the fine print but the check-in takes place at the rental office in town, about a mile away. At check-in, the managers switched the units on us because none in the Naxos property were available, so they put us in a unit in the building next door to Naxos, which was called the Peninsula. They claimed the Peninsula was the better building with better amenities, and the units were identical but since we never saw the Naxos unit, we can't know if this is true or now. Then the wrong keys were in the check-in packet and we had to wait for someone to bring us the right keys. Once we got to the unit, it was fine. It was a nicely appointed 2 BR with 2 bathrooms and the kitchen was well stocked. However, since it is a condo building and the property company manages several units, each unit is different. Also, the property is guarded 24 hours and to get into the complex, the guard has to let you in. If the guard is doing rounds around the property, you're stuck waiting. We returned late one night and had to wait 20 minutes for him to come back. The guards are all really nice but it can be a pain. If you're willing to overlook some logistical snafus to get the benefit of a kitchen and a little more space than a hotel room, this could be a good choice. It was about a 5 minute walk to the beach and about a 20 minute walk to town (Tamarindo).

Large condo with beautiful views!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Naxos condo. It was spacious, clean and very quiet. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach and about a 25 minute walk into town. We loved having the ability to cook some of our own meals or grill down by the pool. The building had a guard and gate so we felt very safe. Our condo number was 22.
