Nice hotel close to the beach but bad food

The hotel is really nice, room was clean however food is not great. They really need to improve. For the price are better options like Riu. Sunny fron snacks is the best she is soo sweet.

Comfortable clean and welcoming

Check in was easy. Room was clean. Drinks in fridge. Comfy bed. Plenty of hot water in shower. Pool and beach were nice. Food at buffet and snack bar were good. Bars were fine. Not too crowded. Nice service. A la carte dinner was nice. We would definitely return. Lovely spot. Relaxing and welcoming place.

Food was beyond horrible

Location: This hotel is several kilometres away from the town. There is a tours desk where many different tours can be booked.
I am not a fussy eater but I had a hard time finding something appealing to eat at this place. There were only 10 hot items for lunch and dinner of which 6 were repeated for both meals. The other 4 were changed out from lunch to supper but the same every day. The Internet was sketchy from the room and we had to go to the check in area before the signal was strong enough to hold. Also, only one of us could use the Internet at a time. We travelled all over Costa Rica this trip and this was the ONLY place that had this policy. Our room was decent enough but there were lots of long black hairs all over the bathroom area which weren't ours.

5th time staying and still love it!

My family and I enjoy staying at Barcelo Langosta. The location is great if you just want to hang at the beach or the pool. The food is good and love the different options every night. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I would say the only negative is that the snack bar food is not as good. Every day the fries were soggy.

Meh....

Pros: Clean landscaping. Clean beach.
Cons: Food majorly needs improvement and possibly some more wait staff in the lobby and pool area.
Location: There's shopping near by.
I have to say I was not impressed. I guess I expected more. It was clean enough and my room location was good. Our room telephone did not work. No frills. The food was ok; the hours of service were not great. The a la carte spot was ok. Service was just ok. The pool side snacks - yuck. Drinks were decent, but I drink beer. The beach was nice, but the hotel offered one broken boogie board and that's about it. The coolest thing was the iguana that hung outside the patio of my room. All in all it was an ok experience. I would not stay again.

Great kid friendly all in resort

Staff friendly but English limited. Beautiful resort. On a public beach that is great for surfing. No advertisements of the daily activities. I wish also that they had a library for book exchange. Evening shows for the kids is pretty late as dinner starts at 7pm. Some Front desk staff not very helpful when asked about recommendations for local attractions. Could not even do a simple google search.

Nice stay

We had a good time there and having food and drinks included was very nice. The whole resort is well maintained. We had a problem with check in becuase I had booked only under one person and there were two of us so they charged us 63$ per day extra on top of the rate. I feel misled by either Expedia or taken advantage of as a tourist. This was not a good start to our vacation. The room was nice and had a lovely view and was clean and comfortable. We did have an issue with it smelling like sewer gas and found it to be coming from the tub. We solved it by closing the drain and filing it with water. We did a zipline ATV trip through the concierge and highly recommend it if you are adventurous!

Issues to resolve.

I have stayed in this hotel in previous occasions with my wife. In this occasion we stayed with another couple visiting from the states. We were well greeted by staff, felt welcomed. Langosta Beach is truly beautiful the place to enjoy a sunset and get your camera out. The food was moderate, yet we felt the menu was repeated everyday we stayed it felt it was the same food over and over. The most annoying part of our stay was in our bedrooms. We were placed in the 3rd story of the rooms. Where the water pressure did not reach our shower, so during our 4 day stay we had in both bedrooms truly bad experience showering. We called front desk told them about the issue which all they say was they would tell maintenance crew, then they told us the hotel was fully booked, which compromised the water pressure. Then to add to that our reservation included "exclusive" internet service, where we were given user name, and passwords, and the connection never worked for more than 3 minutes. We needed to be in contact with family members and check on emails which was impossible to do with this service.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Never go here!

There was blood on the sheets, air conditioning did not work and the locks on the doors did not work. My Tom ford sunglasses were stolen to top it all off.
