Great kid friendly all in resort

Staff friendly but English limited. Beautiful resort. On a public beach that is great for surfing. No advertisements of the daily activities. I wish also that they had a library for book exchange. Evening shows for the kids is pretty late as dinner starts at 7pm. Some Front desk staff not very helpful when asked about recommendations for local attractions. Could not even do a simple google search.

Nice stay

We had a good time there and having food and drinks included was very nice. The whole resort is well maintained. We had a problem with check in becuase I had booked only under one person and there were two of us so they charged us 63$ per day extra on top of the rate. I feel misled by either Expedia or taken advantage of as a tourist. This was not a good start to our vacation. The room was nice and had a lovely view and was clean and comfortable. We did have an issue with it smelling like sewer gas and found it to be coming from the tub. We solved it by closing the drain and filing it with water. We did a zipline ATV trip through the concierge and highly recommend it if you are adventurous!

Issues to resolve.

I have stayed in this hotel in previous occasions with my wife. In this occasion we stayed with another couple visiting from the states. We were well greeted by staff, felt welcomed. Langosta Beach is truly beautiful the place to enjoy a sunset and get your camera out. The food was moderate, yet we felt the menu was repeated everyday we stayed it felt it was the same food over and over. The most annoying part of our stay was in our bedrooms. We were placed in the 3rd story of the rooms. Where the water pressure did not reach our shower, so during our 4 day stay we had in both bedrooms truly bad experience showering. We called front desk told them about the issue which all they say was they would tell maintenance crew, then they told us the hotel was fully booked, which compromised the water pressure. Then to add to that our reservation included "exclusive" internet service, where we were given user name, and passwords, and the connection never worked for more than 3 minutes. We needed to be in contact with family members and check on emails which was impossible to do with this service.

On the other hand, related with water pressure, water has a regulation in our country and in some cases we do not have enough, however, we understand that you had some problems with it and we offer our sincere apology, in the future, if you can give us another opportunity, please contact us and we are going to try to solve the problem as soon as possible. We had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Never go here!

There was blood on the sheets, air conditioning did not work and the locks on the doors did not work. My Tom ford sunglasses were stolen to top it all off.

Great beach, good drinks but food ok

We had a very good service in the check in although the bar service and snakcs area seems that need a couple of extra people.. the snacks were limited to 3 choices (fries, chicken wings and onion rigs) the drinks were better than other hotels (notice that in Costa Rica drinks normally are not very good and quite over price so this is a good advantage of this place). The boss/manager of the activities is a terrible one that is never on time neither knows how to treat people, yet the crew is quite friendly and hard work. This is a family oriented hotel with a good space for kids to play and activities to them, I would recommend couples in groups as is not a very romantic place but good to drink and have fun. Pros: great beach, nice beds and good drinks. Cons: the low quality of food and lack of staff.

All-inclusive Family vacation with amazing Beach

Location: Hotel has direct access Langosta beach, an untouched beautiful beach with warm clear water True Pura Vida life style hotel and close to Tamarindo
We stayed on the Barcelo Langosta Beach property for 4 nights this August and had a great time with the family It was an amazing experience from the moment we checked in. The Bell boys "Claudio and his team" offered to park our car while we get settled in the room. They also setup the extra bed at no additional charge and while were out of the room roaming the property. Its a highly maintained hotel with direct access to the beach. The whole place is built around the comfort and satisfaction of the guests. its an all-inclusive place whith one main dining room (Buffet Style), one a la carte restaurant, couple of bars and a night club next to a large and beautifully finished theater. The food quality and quantity was great (4 out of 5 stars) and dishes were never repeated on any dayduring our stay. They also offered many Costa Rican cuisine and dishes with exotic flavors from local produce and dairy. You must try the local cheese! its so refreshing and deliciously fresh. Special Thanks to Merly, Randall and Ana on the Servers team, the were so helpful and accommodating. The pool area was well maintained and its was fun watching exotic birds and iguanas roam freely around the property. Then you have the beautiful Langosta Beach, what a precious and wonderful place to relax in the morning and in the late afternoon to watch the Sunset and surfers brave the mild waves. Roach Hotel

I went with 14 friends 7/13/16 -7/17/16 and 2 of our rooms were infested with roaches in the fridge and closet area from the first night. The fridge and bathroom was filthy. Once they did move our room on the 3rd night at 3am. The new room had spider webs hanging from the ceiling and yellow stains on the sheets. The manager promised us a 20% discount because of all the inconvenience. However once we got back to NY he wasn't answering text and I never saw any refund. Worst experience ever for a vacation.

Nice hotel right at the beach

The staff of the hotel is exceptionally kind and helpful. You can book trips for anywhere in Costa Rica directly from the hotel. The staff speaks English. There is evening entertainment and beach volleyball, which I took full adavatbage off. The currents at the beach are red flag at all times, however there is a pool and to the left of the beach is a safe area. Great surfing spot and lots to do. The prices for the services are less than they should be. You always get food during trips and the travel to the trips is 90% of the time included. Very affordable vacation location.
