Very nice hotel.
It was great. Very nice room and service was got. Beautiful grounds and pools. The only exception was that there was WiFi only in the lobby and restaurant.

This is a very classy place in all ways: staff friendliness and attentiveness; wonderful food, beautiful grounds, comfortable and lovely rooms, and access to mineral spring pools. The only downsides were that the resort is 15 or 20 minutes from San Miguel (they provide free transportation to the center) and that the big swimming pool is quite warm for swimming. It is definitely a vacation destination, in itself, especially if you have children.

Excelent Hotel
My family enjoyed the stay. The pool with thermal water was assome to start the day swimming with water at 100F. Then horse ride with the kids and finally finished with outstanding breakfast. The best place to have a excelent time for yourself disconnect from busy life. Fully recommend for families, retirees or young couples... we really enjoyed!

Room got two air conditionings ... none of them worked. Wifi did not work. No spa available. Towells were VERY old and hard and used. Bar at pool closed at 5:30 pm. Breakfast very good.

We enjoyed the pools with our 4-year olds. Perfect for adults and children. Food was not extraordinary but fine. Good beds. Ample towels. Very attentive and experienced staff in the dining room. We love the old trees and rustic feel. Been going on and off for almost 40 years. Feels like home.

Fabulous Hot Spring Hotel in the Countryside
Taboada is a lovely old fashioned Mexican hotel, located about 20 min drive from San Miguel de Allende. It's best to have a car when staying, unless you plan to stay put. The hot spring pools, (which are very clean), the lovely gardens, and the peaceful setting are the reasons to go. It's a place to relax. We stayed during weekdays and it was not at all crowded, but I hear on holidays and weekends it does get busy. The breakfast was great, fresh fruits and juices, good coffee and lots of egg dishes. You can eat on the large grassy lawn by the pool. The only dinner we ate there was not so great, and felt a bit outdated, but the fire int eh gigantic fireplace made it feel cosy. The rooms are spacious, bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom clean, linens plentiful and changed daily, and the services were prompt and sufficient. I'd be sure to bring slippers/flip flops as the floors are chilly at night. Quiet, peaceful sleep, wake up to birds. Phone service spotty, as is WiFi, but I found this to be part of the charm. Nice to unplug. In any case, you could find better service by moving up the hill a bit. I hope the people who work there are treated well. Very subjectively, they did not seem extremely cheerful. I'd go back any time!

Do not be fooled
Hotel is not at San Miguel de allende, it is actually 25 deive to get there, you have to go thru a 7 minute unpaved road to get to the hotel. Staff is friendly however the hotel is an old facility in the middle of nothing , I think it is very expensive for what you get

Great family getaways
Great getaway to relax on thermal waters and have good food. Service is excelent and family ambient. If you need to be connected this is not the place, since it's outside of the city and does have limited wifi but no cel phone connectivity in most of the hotel. But if your plan is to disconect, relax and use water for healing. This is the place.

The hotel is out in the country and the view driving in is beautiful. The hotel staff was very friendly and the grounds were nice for our toddler to run around and play. The hot tubs were clean and nice. The big pool is very warm though...to warm for our 16 month old to get in. The older kids enjoyed it, but it was so warm that they would get out of the pool a lot to cool off. The hotel needs some upgrades. The rooms are older, but they were clean. It didn't feel dirty despite needing renovated.

Tranquil Oasis
This hotel is a little older and it's off the beaten path, but once you get into the courtyard, you can see past the age. The gardens and thermal pools were amazing! The food was good and the staff and service was incredible. It is just a short trip to shopping and restaurants in San Miguel de Allende. They drain and clean the big pool on Wednesday afternoons and it takes all night to refill it, so make sure you use that afternoon for shopping or touring the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Los exteriores son muy bonitos al igual que las albercas. Sin embargo las habitaciones ya muy viejas, falta mantenimiento, los colchones viejos e incómodos. Les urge renovar las habitaciones porque por lo que cobran la estancia uno se esperaría mejores instalaciones.
