Great location, but could be noisy at night.

Posted Feb 10, 2017
Pros: Spacious Room
Cons: Breakfast was fine but was geared to Mexican taste.
Location: On main square, close to everything, museums, market, restaurants and street music each night.
Had a huge room right in front, staff were wonderful and helpful in every way. Close by local nightlife with lots of Mariachis and noise until 2am. So, if you are a light sleeper you might want to be a little farther away from the center. However, we coped with earplugs.

Comfortable room, perfectly located.

Pros: Comfy rooms, perfect location.
This hotel was smack dab in the center of town, within easy walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Great town to visit.

In the center of activities

Posted Jan 14, 2017
Pros: architecture - angles, ceiling, internal balconies
Cons: A functional barrier/door to close off the breakfast area from the street as in the winter months the area is cold
Location: A number of zocolos, restaurants and boutique stores, funicular, Diego Rivera museo, main theatro. Avoid los momias.
Hotel is located in the center of the activities in the city. You walk to all the museos, restaurants, theators, and sites of interest. Hotel offers a sumptous breakfast and rooms are very clean. The city has no parking spaces and this is a problem with its location as there is no close area to park and it is a challenge to unload on the street where the hotel is located. All the streets are narrow and traffic is a daily issue. However, the experience of driving through the very expansive series of tunnels under the city is worth it

Too Short

Posted Sep 23, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Almost everything...
Cons: N/A
Location: Location is in downtown area, just walk out choose a route and you will find everything you need to have a great time in Guanajuato.
Hotel is centrally located in the Heart of Guanajuato, with in walking distance to many locations of interest and in a car free area, driving and parking in Guanajuato is very difficult, staff was really helpful to overcome this as they drove with me to a nearby parking lot and walked us back! Hotel is beautiful and so are rooms!, breakfast was the best I have had at a hotel in a long time (included). Highly recommended.

Traditional style hacienda hotel

Posted Aug 17, 2016 on Orbitz
Our family loved the experience, it was so cool and showed us the old traditional style living. Everything was colorful, simple and beautifully decorated. The staff was amazing, knowledgeable and very accommodating. We loved that everybody had their own space and that all the shops and attractions were at walking distance. The downfall was the wifi, not the best reception.

Very comfortable and convenient location.

Posted Aug 10, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: The location, the cleanliness, the staff, the decor, and the comfort of the room.
Cons: There was an occasional smell of drainage that came in through the bathroom window. Itwas not constant, but enough to produce a gag every now and then
Location: Perfect location and near everything. Go up to the Pípila, tour the theaters, or just sit at the Jardín which is just steps away from the hotel.
This was much more than I expected from this hotel. Being that it is alongside one of the busiest streets in Guanajuato, I was concerned it would be very loud. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it has good sound barriers. My stay there was one of the best hotel experiences in all of Mexico.

Warm up top but overall a fabulous hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2016 on Hotels
Everything was great but the Wifi was down and the upstairs portions of the rooms are very warm. The air conditioner keeps the downstairs portion cool but upstairs doesn't get hardly any of the air. Portable fans out an additional air conditioner would be a great solution. Love the layout of the rooms and the beauty of the architecture. The place was clean and the staff were wonderful.

Great location.

Beds on top level could use some modifications , like a TV and moving ceiling fan more towards /over beds.
