great location

Posted Feb 9, 2016
Pros: location
Cons: room service is not available
Location: it is in the historical center of the city, so everything is on walking distance
Guanajuato is a great place to visit if you happen to be in the Bajio area. Full of architecture, pre-hispanic history, and a real jewel of city planning with underground ways to leave the original city alive right on top.

Grata estancia en Guanajuato

Posted Nov 10, 2015 on Hotels

Desayuno bueno.

Felicidades a La Casona de Don Lucas

Posted Oct 20, 2015 on Hotels

Perfect spot for the Cervantino...

Posted Oct 19, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: wifi only worked near your room or you had to switch servers...
Location: Right of the Plaza de la Paz... perfect spot.
Just got back from a weekend and the Casona de Dona Lucas was a great call. Nice rooms, did get a little noisy but that is to be expected being right in the thick of things.... no elevator for those of you in need...

Big rooms and in the heart of the city.

Posted Sep 24, 2015 on Hotels
The rooms in this hotel are big and comfy. The hotel is conveniently located 1 block from the main plaza. Lots of restaurants and places of interest nearby. The suite that I stayed had two levels. This hotel doesn't have an elevator but all the rooms are on the second floor. The WiFi signal was poor. Breakfast is a buffet with a variety of food (scrambled eggs, ham, chilaquiles, beans, cereals, coffee grinder and pancakes). It's really good. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. It's a very nice hotel.

La Casona de San Lucas

Posted Sep 13, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel is located within a walking distance from Teatro Juarez and local attractions however it doesn't have any parking. After a few tries in downtown we had to hire a guide to take is there. He was able to take me to a parking garage within a 10 min walking distance. The hotel is colonial so you really get a feel of that time especially if you are looking out to downtown from the room's balcony. Worth the try !
