Excellent view. Prime location.Posted Nov 8, 2015
Overall an excellent hotel and pleasant stay. Very friendly staff, however, I would like to see better spoken English at an international hotel like this.

Just another Four Seasons?Posted Oct 29, 2015
Staff were friendly. 4 seasons level of comfort as usual, with meticulous house keeping. Funky rooftop bar. The area is convenient since it's quiet with a nice promenade to walk or jog nearby, but also just minutes away from the best shopping the city has to offer.

Good hotel close to American ConsulatePosted Oct 8, 2015
Pros: Location, quality of service.
We stayed for 5 nights. Overall, it's a pleasant experience -- the hotel is comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if one needs to visit the U.S. Consulate -- it's 3-minute walk. It's also close to subway and dining. Be careful if you take the taxis that are waiting in front of the hotel. The taxi driver charged 200 from the hotel to the airport, whereas it costed 125 when we took the taxi from the airport to the hotel. The driver claimed that he took the outer circle road so it's longer distance and the tolls are higher. However, he never asked us which road we prefer or whether we're pressed for time. Be clear to the driver that you prefer inner circle road if you're not pressed for time. It would be nice if the hotel staff warn the drivers/guests about such overcharges. We also went to the TaoYuan Restaurant on the 5th floor of the Friendship Store upon the suggestion of hotel concierge. Don't' recommend this restaurant to anyone -- the waiter increased the price of a dish by 200 after we ordered and had strange, inconsistent reasons for the price change and the discrepancy on the receipt. Very dishonest business. Suggest the hotel concierges don't recommend this restaurant to guests in the future.

First time in GuangzhouPosted Sep 29, 2015
Pros: Room was large with a great view, comfortable bed and a well furnished room and bathroom. Generally very clean and good professional staff.
Cons: Not like having to go 70 floors to find reception area and then change lifts to go to my room. Facilities such as restaurants / bar close too early
Location: Not too much nearby.
Only a short stay. Arrived at the hotel quite late around midnight, but when asked about eating facilities seemed as if the there was only a restaurant and it would close shortly, similarly with the bar. I would have thought a hotel of this standing would have a 24 hour coffee shop. Ordered room service food which took 30 minutes to be delivered - way too long. Went to the top floor bar for a drink but left as the prices were exorbitantly high - almost US$18 for a the cheapest glass of wine. TV reception was poor on some channels. Wifi service was poor both in room and in the hotel, first night could not even get connected.

Their pillows are too softPosted Sep 13, 2015
Pros: This is supposed the best hotel in Guangzhou.
Cons: They should use Tempurpedic mattress and pillows if they charge over $300 per day!
Location: Best location in Guangzhou.
Everything is OK with 2 exceptions: 1. The pillows are too soft which can not provide any support; 2. The restaurant at the 100th floor is overpricing and they hire bad cooks!
