Before the room is very dark total 3 lights are out of order. They confirm can change another room but I have to wait almost 40 minutes and no answer.After I go down to front desk and complaint so they do it at once.

Business trip to Guangzhou

Pros: Only the location and shuttle service between hotel and airport
Cons: Man, specially staff as they are just like robots!
Location: Location is good and rest was not so good at all...
Very disappointing as the room was facing the staff residency area and utility services truck part! It was very located despite I am expedia plus gold member!

Pros: The food.
Area is good. Food is also not bad. Staff training inadequate. No food is the best at this hotel.

A long history hotel with an upgraded room

Pros: Expedia Price, Cleanliness, Large Room, Location for business.
Cons: Change the carpet and worn out things.
Location: Airport bus can stop over the intersection very close to the hotel. Subway is just 100 meters away from the hotel.
This hotel might be a longest history hotel in Guangzhou as I guess. Overall Condition is still good. As a gold member of Expedia, I also got an upgraded room which is beyond our expectations. The room is in a good condition, but the carpet is a bit worn out.

Everything went wrong - what we had requested on expedia was not fulfilled, which led us and our family members were put two floors apart and very far apart (the hotel is very big and takes 6-10 mins to walk from one room at one end to the other). The twin beds were very hard - not like a hotel standard bed at all. when you moved on the bed it started creaking. Thus we changed rooms to be nearer our family but this took 3 hours. Dropped a transportation card in the previous room but was never found. Toilet was not very 5-star and kept flooding, my family's toilet choked during our stay as well. We previously stayed at the 4-star Yingbin hotel and that was so much better in terms of location, price, and attention to detail. The way the Dong Fang room and toilets were designed was not very friendly and you could knock into things / slip / get the toilet door banged on you if you were not careful (essential after travelling and tired). Wardrobe lights were strange - not working for 2 out of 3 days so had to squint to find clothes - but worked on second day. Plugs were not international friendly (there were just two 2-pin plugs in the whole hotel and the rest was the unpopular 3 slanted pins which most international adapters are unable to support). Housekeeping service took very long for requests for additional adapter. Housekeeping was not attentive unlike Yingbin - when they found clothes that were dropped on the floor by accident, they didn't fold it nicely on the bed on top

Nice 5 star hotel near metro station.

Checkin/out seamless. Room is very big. Heater doesnt work too well. Room was chilly most times.

good hotel! and not expensive. but....hotel is too old....but it's ok If i go to Guanzhou..i'll choice dong fang. I recomend one double bed... room is better than two single beds room

Horrible Experience

the first room they provided was horrible. 3 of 5 lamps/ lights are broken, room is Humid, AC is not working... i waited for 3 hours until they changed a room for me because no one came for solving problems. will not stay there again.
