Charming old-school hotel with minor flaws
Posted Apr 18, 2016
I stayed two nights with my girlfriend. The hotel has a classic style like you'd see in old movies, with a shabbiness that mostly just adds to the charm. It worked for me anyway. There are nice touches like the two guys playing a kind of vibraphone, really quite beautifully, during breakfast.
My biggest problem was that staff come round at around 8.30am to see if you want your room cleaned or have laundry, and the second morning actually began unlocking the door. This is pretty uncool.
A lot of reviews mention the rooms are noisy, but if you stay in a hotel in the centre of Guatemala City, what do you expect.
