Nice hotel with a good locationPosted Apr 7, 2014
Our stay was very pleasant. The hotel was comfortable and with a very good location for the price. In general a recommended hotel if you plan to visit Antigua.

It is a Howard Johnson!Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: Nice quiet street
The size of the hotel room is good enough. However, the proportions of the bathroom are awful. Huge shower, and the tiniest toilet and sink. Not a space to put any toiletries, so it was a challenge getting ready. The hot water takes forever to warm up.

The Hojo in Antigua is a hidden gem with a very comfortable setting. It is about 5 blocks from the park downtown & enough away from the main thoroughfare to offer a peaceful place to rest/sleep. The staff is very helpful, rooms are very clean & comfortable. Bathrooms are modern & great water pressure for the shower. We canceled our stay in Guatemala City & chose to stay a few more days in the comfortable environment instead. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone that will be coming into Antigua. Also, the continental breakfast is not that great but the coffee & staff make up for it. Enjoy!!

A pleasant surprisePosted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels
A really nice place to stay which was recently opened. Forget about any past experiences you have had with Howard Johnson. This location is more like a boutique hotel. It was a private residence that was converted into a hotel. The garden is beautiful and it has a great view of the volcano. The service is very nice. The rooms are clean and simple (just one wardrobe closet). Located in a nice quiet neighborhood and we liked the distance to the main plaza which forced us to walk a few blocks each day. The free continental breakfast is basic (toasted white bread) but the coffee and fruit are very good.

Bien - WellPosted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels
Esta como a 7 cuadras del centro, es comodo para dormir, pero la habitación es pequeña, si hay huéspedes el la habitación de arriba, el ruido se oye mucho, el desayuno apenas es continental, café, jugo, pan, cereal y algo de fruta. - This as 7 blocks from downtown, is comfortable to sleep, but the room is small, if there are guests on the upstairs room, the noise you hear a lot, breakfast just is continental, coffee, juice, bread, cereal and some fruit.
