Non un hotel di lusso

Pros: La posizione centrale
Cons: Tutto il resto, ripartendo da capo
Location: Nel cuore della città, che peraltro, in tutta onestà, ha poche attrattive
La premessa è che Guayaquil non ha una ricettività alberghiera all'altezza delle sue dimensioni e importanza per i flussi turistici che accoglie, quantomeno per qualità. Questo non è un hotel di lusso, sotto nessun aspetto, anche se probabilmente è tra i migliori disponibili. Il soggiorno è stato caratterizzato da diversi inconvenienti, come l'impianto di aria condizionata in camera rumorosissimo e la serratura con tessera magnetica malfunzionamente al punto che dopo diversi tentativi di accesso mi è stata assegnata un'altra camera (una suite molto più spaziosa e con un'aria condizionata perfettamente funzionamente e silenziosa), gesto certamente apprezzabile ma non risolutivo. Gli arredi sono datati e molto standard, gli armadi minuscoli, i materassi e i cuscini scomodi, gli spazi comuni banali al massimo, il ristorante principale chiuso per rinnovamento. Il personale si sforza di essere gentile e di risolvere i problemi (cui è evidentemente molto abituato), ma non è all'altezza per cultura ricettiva e disponibilità. Incredibile l'incompetenza di quello alla concierge quando si è trattato di chiedere di prenotare alcune escursioni. Albergo molto standard e più business che leisure ma certamente non di lusso.

Surprising experience

Pros: Old world standard to a high level
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Downtown Guayaquil. While cheap Taxis are the prevailing transportation in Ecuador one can reach any area in the city in merely minutes.
Traveling freqently we have lower expectations when it comes to lodging in Ecuador because..., well it's Evuador. Just staying one night we were pleasantly surprised to find a standard one would expect from a high end hotel in any European big city. Oro Verde is doing things right on all levels with highest attention to details, spotless cleanliness and friendly and helpfull staff. They became another hotel on our shortlist.

Humidity 1000%

Pros: The staff is incredible , they will help you and will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable.
Cons: The ORO VERDE its not the hotel it used to be. Not a 4 o 5 start hotel.
Location: The location its not the best. You need to go outside of the area to have fun. Its a business area not a touristic place.
The air quality of this hotel was scary! There is humidity in the entire hotel You can smell it the moment you walk in. I am allergy to Mold and I could not believe the rooms were so humid. As an Expedia Gold member you get the perks of upgrades sometime. The rooms are very nice however.....I was changed 5 times as per my request. I travel all the time so I know that if you are not happy you should request the best of an almost 5 start hotel.

Pros: The breakfast and the free transportation to the airport.

Great Hotel!

Truly great hotel! Spent my last 3 nights at Oro Verde and the service, rooms, cleanliness, food, etc. are just spectacular. It is located in the center of the city on 9 de Octubre where all the hustle and bustle is, however, once inside the Oro Verde you're in luxury. Breakfast is awesome... It's like having breakfast, lunch and dinner if you so choose. Will definitely go back!

Un gran hotel, buenas instalaciones, el desayuno buffet y el internet son muy buenos. lo único malo es que no hay muchas opciones de restaurantes al alrededor
