Great place with easy access to everything in Lamai. Staff are wonderful and helpful. Rooms have everything you need and it’s right on the beach. Only downside would be the main pool became quite murky and green and seemed to need a good clean out. Didn’t stop our kids loving it though! We will stay here again for sure.

Paradise
Marina Villa is absolutely superb. The room is large with very quiet AC. Staff are super friendly. The restaurant sells good quality food at a good price. The beach is magnificent and right on the doorstep. We have stayed at Marina Villa a number of times and will return there whenever we travel to Koh Samui.

NEEDS SOME TLC...... but .....
We have stayed Marina Villa many times and we have noticed that it is starting to look run down in some areas... housekeeping is a bit slack even though rooms are serviced everyday, staff are polite and friendly... the restaurant is hopeless, the food is good, as long as you are careful ordering, the menu is confusing, some of the staff are very nasty are arguementive and not respectful to customers (we are very easy to get on with)... it would be nice to see the restaurant used to it's full capacity (music, drinks and flowers make it look inviting) ... instead of staff continually on their phones... it was nice to see the pools closest to the beach revamped, and it would be great to see the lounges on the sand kept tidy each day..... even though I've been a bit negative I will most likely be back next year... it is a great resort that needs some TLC... and within walking distance to everything .... free WiFi which was good... and the air con was great... and it is great for families...

Best hotel in Samui
The hotel, for the money, is as good as it comes. Rooms close to two lovely pools, right on Lamai beach. As some of the other reviewers state, this isn't a five-star resort and for that there are some sacrifices (slightly dated and slightly musty-smelling rooms), but easily fixed by a trip to tesco for some air freshener. Been here twice and would not stay anywhere else in Samui.

JUST OK
The shower head was broken and water was flying everywhere i asked the technician to fix it so i can take shower. he came in looked at the shower head moved it and left, never came back. it was missing a screw to keep it in place. traveling in Thailand for several weeks I've already become familiar with the fact that Thai people don't care about you, they only care about your money. they are rude and they will ignore you most of the time.

Tired beach front resort
The place is tired. It needs to be upgraded in a few areas, which would probably not cost a lot to do. As mentioned by others most of the sun loungers are in very poor condition. The towels we had needed to be replaced, though I did see some which looked newer, maybe in the more expensive rooms! There were no hand towels or hair dryers in the rooms and we had to ask for towels for the pool. The rooms were a good size each with a balcony with comfortable outdoor chairs. There were very few amenities in the room with only one bedside cabinet and only one drawer. The bathroom was a wet room and quite small with very little room between the toilet and vanity. The staff were friendly enough in our limited dealings with them. The grounds were in need of work with rubbish around one of the pools but it looked like this was starting to happen, with trees being trimmed one day we were there. The tiles were lifting in one pool which should be attended to as well. Breakfast was not included and it seemed to us as if the restaurant was run as a separate business. When we asked about breakfast the front of house staff were not able to tell us about it apart from the fact it was not included in the room rate. We found that the Wifi kept dropping and we had to log in again and again. The position on the beach front was great and it is close to plenty of restaurants and shops. At this point we would probably not return as we have stayed in better, less expensive places in Lamai.

+ Nice and clean swimming pool and well-groomed green territory; close to the beach; good location. - Very old furniture in the room and a lot of insects on it (looks like small ants). Bad sink in bathroom and nobody fixed it. Dirty and old sun beds near the swimming pool. Very slow stuff in the restaurant.

Nice Beachfront Hotel
These are nice little rooms on Lamai Beach with two lovely pools, one set back from the beach, the other on the oceanfront. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice verandas to sit out on. A pretty good value for Lamai and in a good location, right in the middle of the beach. The restaurant is nice, on the waterfront but we didn't actually eat their much. Service in the restaurant was not the best and there are a lot of choices in Lamai

Just what we needed !
After spending 1st night in Bangkok,then 4 in Koh Chang,2 in Trat.Then 7 hour minibus drive Sihanoukville Cambodia for a week. 10 hour drive to Pattaya to catch flight to Samui..... we were a little tired.The Marina Villa was welcome relief,room was clean,bed was comfortable,pools were great and right on the beach.Food and service was ok, being in the heart of Lamai,lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby....Just what we needed !

Extremely dirty hotel
Unfortunately... This hotel was a huge disappointment. Filthy bed sheets, mold on pillowcases, lots of ants crawling in the bed, disgusting mattress covered in stains from top to bottom. Top comforter was never changed during my stay. Bathroom had mold all around the floor, and sink. Toilet dripped constantly. Only enough hot water for 2 minute showers and not enough water pressure to wash soap off of body. Urine drops on toilet lid when I got the room, and were never cleaned in 2 weeks. Bathroom smelled terrible. Towels were stained, frayed, and worn out. Light switches covered in tape and dirty fingerprints. Insect coccoons all over curtains. Written warnings to "remember to lock your doors at night" scotch taped to the walls, and safe. Beach was covered with broken bottles, cigarette butts, and garbage. Hotel staff were more interested in their cell phones than helping visitors. Very poor English as well. Asked about wifi issues and they thought I wanted a towel. Lots of large stray dogs and cats all over the property. Sun beds were shredded, moldy, and broken. Fridge was smelly and didnt stay cold. 14" TV did not work. Wifi was terrible, could not stay connected on any of my devices for more than a few minutes. No secure connection. Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Electricity kept on tripping out to room. Told reception and reset breaker. Still kept tripping and they said it was hot water system which I told them it was the air conditioning but staff reckon he know everything. He turned the hot water system off and electricity went off in middle of night once again, no air conditioning or anything and very hot . No one in reception and took several calls to get someone to change room. Very annoyed and will not stay here again and have stayed several previous occasions. These people need to wake up to themselves.

Zentral gelegene Unterkunft in Lamai mit direktem Strandzugang (Restaurant u Massage am Strand) und 2 Pools, schöne große Zimmer mit Safe, Wasserkocher und genügend Stauraum für Gepäck, Balkon. Personal sehr freundlich u zuvorkommend, tgl. Wasser und frische Handtücher wenn gewünscht. Einzige Kritikpunkte: Wasserdruck im 3. Stock sehr schlecht, kaum Steckdosen im Zimmer, Strandliegen abgenutzt. Ich würde wieder hin, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Tres bon rapport qualité prix. Les plus : en acces direct a la mer, assez central mais pas trop pour ne pas être noyé dans la masse. Un resto de plage et possibilite de massage attenant ouvert jusqu'à 18h et prix raisonnable. Personnel sympa. Location scooter dans l'hôtel sans obligation de laisser loriginal du passeport chez eux. Boutique de nettoyage des vêtements pas cher et efficace. Nettoyage chambre tous les jours. Les moins : salle de bain un peu spartiate avec les wc qui ne font quun avec la douche. Plusieurs transats devraient etre changés. Globalement tres bon hôtel avec bon rapport qualite prix, meme haute saison.

Très belle hôtel avec deux piscines accès direct à la plage, location de scooter tarif correct confort de la chambre parfait, pas assez de pression à la douche et c’est vraiment dommage qu’il y ai cette odeur de durian partout juste à côté de la réception les employés coupaient des durians l’odeur est vraiment insupportable peut-être sommes nous tombés à la mauvaise période. Hôte très attentionné. Excellent accueil.
