Close to the beach

Pros: The location and the staff.
Cons: I remember the outside steps were rusty and had sharp edges. I'd fix those before someone cuts their feet coming back from the beach.
Location: Everything is nearby. Food, dining, bars, entertainment for the kids, and the crawfish festival was just over the river bridge.
The staff was very nice. Location was great. I was able to check in early which was very helpful. I got lucky. The motel was pretty decent in the main room. The bathroom wasn't all that great. Rooms were cleaned when I got there but nobody cleaned my room while I stayed there for 3 days or brought fresh towels and bath cloths. The bathroom paint was pealing some but it wasn't that bad of an eye sore. The restroom door looked like it needed replacing but that is not a deal breaker. There was an issue with the lights by the vanity. Had to slide the grating out of the way and touch/wiggle the fluorescent lights and wiggle the light switch to a happy spot before the lights would come on. I told the staff but he made a note and nobody fixed it. Seems to me they may have been understaffed at the time. Still it's no big deal. I got a room for $55 a night through Expedia.com close to the beach. It's not a bad motel. I'd stay there again. Like I said the staff was great just short handed. For the price I can deal with that. I gave it an overall rating of 3 stars because I honestly felt it was just a mediocre motel. Don't let the 3 stars fool you though. It was fine for me. If I was trying to impress a female I'd have to go somewhere else. Just an honest opinion. I go there a lot and would stay again.

Horrible experience will never go back!!!!!

Wow where do I start!!??? I know this is the cheapest hotel in gulf shores BUT I did expect at least the basics of a hotel room such as clean sheets and a bug free room. We checked in at the Front desk and went straight to the room with a sleeping 2 year old on my shoulder I turned down the bed only to find crumbled chips and mystery stains on the bed where the sheets have not been washed in God knows how long!!!! I then turned to my husband who immediately went to the front desk for a refund only to be told they have a 24 hour cancellation policy and they would not refund the money to us!!!! As I was waiting for my husband to come back from the front desk I noticed a dead roach in the window!!! To top it all off the after expressing to the man how we are not going to stay and we need a refund he told us that he would not even bring his family to the hotel he works at!!!!! I think that speaks volumes!!! Needless to say when we called corporate for a refund they basically told us it was our fault and they have a 24 hour refund policy!!! I urge you to never stay at this hotel!!!!!!

Quick trip to the beach

The 2 star rating is fair and my friends and I were expecting it to be a 2 star hotel. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a night it was ok. The breakfast was nothing literally by the time we got to the free "breakfast" by 8 our options were toast, oatmeal, grits, or cereal crumbs.

Worst hotel ever

Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Everything needs to be fixed, can't believe this room was rented out in this condition
Carpet was wet,room had horrible musty smell, no towels or extra roll of toilet paper, no blanket on bed,no room key would have to go to front desk and have someone let us in room every time we went out,huge hole in wall under clothes hanger

We had to move rooms because the first microwave and refrigerator weren't functional. Also, we requested a refund for experiencing rash consisting of red dots and found blood like spots and mold spots on mattress. Would not stay here again, nor would I recommend this hotel to others.

Missing something's

had to wake girl to get coffee at 6:30am. No coffee in room. Breakfast was choice of three cereals, toast. Roaches in room. Orange juice machine out of order. No TV remote in room, desk clerk got one from another room. Too many things bad for price of $98/night

Our door would not lock. Very disappointed I don't recommend this hotel at all
