This property was great and our room was amazing! Our room actually ended up being at a separate property up the hill from Nordic Inn which was a really beautiful place with great views. The only downside is the stairs- I was prepared that there wouldn't be an elevator but there were a lot of stairs to get to our room- not the easiest with luggage but the room, the view, and the amenities totally made it worth it!

Unfortunately due to the mountain surroundings, the Summit building was designed with an ample amount of stairs. We absolutely agree that this is not ideal, and are actively working on trying to figure out solutions to this, such as an elevator, and appreciate your understanding. Great location, easy walk to the ski lifts, nice breakfast in the morning, and lovely common area with a fireplace. We enjoyed the hot tub as well! I would highly recommend this cozy property for a stay in Crested Butte!

Great inn. The hot tub was clean, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was great although breakfast hot pockets would be a cool addition. I highly recommend this place. :)

Property was nice, interesting but fun layout. Almost like a bed and breakfast with a shared kitchen and living room. Plenty of space. Understandable this is a ski resort but property management did not plan ahead and have parking cleared out for guests to park. Had to shovel a spot out on 3 separate occasions. They had a full property with nowhere to park. You can park at the bottom of the hill and take a shuttle bus up however but that wasn’t explained to us until 3 days into our 5 day trip. Skiing and the mountain was absolutely beautiful

Nordic Inn was tremendous! Ryan and Travis were extremely helpful, friendly, knowledgeable of the area and restaurants, just great people all around. It was awesome to see so many dogs. Skiing was amazing. Breakfast bar, peanut butter, toast, tea, coffee, was key for me, since I had a very long travel day. Would love to see some oats and more egg, yogurt options if possible ;)... Hope to return again soon! Five stars.

The property was very dated. Paid 4 star price for 2 star site. To be fair, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cold prepackaged food with a microwave and toaster. Stairs from second level (on back) outside was covered with fresh ice caused by dripping leak in structure above that my son fell on. They added salt after notifying them, but it's just a sign of a need for better maintenance. Location was convenient .... but considering the price and condition of the property, we will not be staying here again.

THIN WALLS , NOT DOG FRIENDLY
NOT dog friendly and walls are exceptionally thin. Walls are so thin we could hear a person SNEEZE in the room next to us. Dogs are allowed but NOT dog friendly. There is a sign in the room stating if a dog is left unattended in the room there is a $150 fine. Most likely due to the thin walls. Dogs are not allowed in the lobby because the hotel has two of their own dogs that live there. This limited our trip activities and we weren’t able to enjoy the cute lobby as a couple. This could be a perfect cozy little Hallmark Movie ski hotel with few a few upgrades and transparencies. Until the walls are mitigated leave earplugs in the room for guests. Do not advertise as dog friendly

Room with a view
We stayed in the Pearl room and it was very large and had a private hot tub. The layout of room is a little strange but overall we enjoyed it. The biggest negative was the building with our room was not on the same property as the main inn. Thankfully Crested Butte has a free car ride service and you download the app and request a car just like you would do with an Uber. This is a great service.

Great stay with a couple of irritants
The independent house where our room was located (not in the main lodge) was beautiful and in excellent condition. Big living area, top-of-the-line kitchen, nicely done. However, to get to our room (the Teocali room) from the parking (road) level, we had to walk down almost 4 flights of stairs. We did not understand that when we booked (seemed like 1-2 flights down). In addition, the hot tub (a delight after a full day of skiing) was just outside the wall of our room. A motor kept coming on again and again (our assumption was it had something to do with regulating the temperature of the water in the hot tub). The noise made it hard to get good sleep. We did bring it to the attention of the front desk at the main lodge, but it was not fixed.

The Nordic Inn is an excellent place to stay in Crested Butte. It's walking distance to the chair lifts, has warm, clean rooms, and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. My husband and I already booked our stay for next year

Not luxurious but comfortable
The Nordic Inn is an old school alpine experience: not luxurious but full of wood, history and comfy chairs. The staff is terrific - friendly and responsive. The breakfast is more like a fast-serve Econo-lodge but adequate. Hot water can be sparse and there was water damage in the bathroom ceiling. But the bed was comfy and overall the room was fine. It’s dog friendly, so you will hear barking. But guests are respectful. It’s a little overpriced for what you get but the views are what you are really paying for.

Beware of the bait and switch! The photos on the website show an exterior of the actual Inn - a two Storey hotel like structure. Not all of the rooms offered on the website are in this building. Unbeknownst to us, we reserved a premium suite that is not at the Inn. The four suite structure was at another location, which was a drive away. The building is constructed on a steep grade. The entrance is at street level, and all of the units are all below street level Our suite was on the fourth floor down, accessed by four flights of steep stairs - seventy steps total. The room description on the web site reads " not pet friendly, no elevator". The truth is, the room is not user friendly, and it should be clearly stated that it is four floors of steep steps down to reach the room. Two round trips to the car are 280 steps! We refused to stay in that room were moved to a room in the actual Inn building. The hotel declined to refund the dollar difference in rate between the two rooms as we booked through Expedia. We are negotiating with Expedia for recompense. All in all, our stay at the Inn was fine. The staff is excellent, and the standard hotel rooms are quite comfortable, as are the common areas. We liked the Crested Butte area, and will likely return, and would book a room at the actual Inn - not at one of the ancillary properties that are presented as part of the Inn.

Arrived at 5:30PM, prime check-in time. There was nobody at the front desk, only a card informing that the front desk person would be back in 5 to 10 minutes. After standing around for seven or eight minutes it turned out that the front desk clerk was standing only10 feet away, chatting with guests in the lounge, and he finally looked over to discover that there were guests waiting to check in. The hotel contacted us the day before arrival to inquire whether we had a pet or not; we replied that we did not. The front desk clerk asked the same question again at check-in, with the same answer. He then gave us a room that had obviously had dogs in it recently; the smell of dog was very strong. While we were trying to decide whether we could live with the bad smell, we discovered that there was no heat in the room, with freezing temperatures and snow forecast that night. A helpful young man came to the room and changed the batteries in the thermostat, but still no heat. Shortly after that, the power failed, and we were left in the dark. Went to the front desk, again, nobody there. We called the phone number on the card on the desk but nobody answered. We called back a few minutes later, still no answer so we left a voicemail; no callback. Fortunately, the young man who replaced the batteries in the thermostat, had left his number in case of further problems, so we contacted him, and he gave us another room. The new room didn’t smell so bad, but still had no heat.

Rustic place in CB
Definitely rustic but included all the amenities you need (including cookies in the lobby). Rooms were small but you shouldn't be in them long since there is much to see in CB. Wood burning fireplace in the lobby was a great place to relax after a day of hiking and sightseeing.

Really disappointing
The service was really good (Selby was fabulous), but the place is really, really run down. Many things don't work (toilets, coffeemakers, doors don't lock right). It was such a disappointment to stay here seeing how run down it is. The rate is outrageous for the condition of the place. It doesn't surprise me that the room was non-refundable.

OK stay
Not enough outlets in the room. TV only has streaming channels. We can't even look at a normal college football game on TV (we have been waiting for the season opening game), Room is clean, bed is comfortable.
