Spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen: dishwasher and washing machine (incl tumbler), iron + board, hand-vacuum, hairdryer, airer, nice toiletries, good TV, comfy bed. Very thoughtful touches: tabs for dishwasher/washing machine, salt & pepper, utensils. Location conveniently close to Festival shopping centre etc. Downside: FRI+SAT very noisy from pub garden opposite showing sports games, music until 3am. SUN ok. Monday 5:45am glass recycling pick-up followed by street cleaning machine (came by 5 times - also on Tuesday). Blackout blinds or curtains would be good. I would stay again. The feel was good.

Rooms were well kept. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was as expected.

Four stars because I had brown water in the shower. Clearly there was some refubrishment on water system done and nobody drained dirty water from the pipes. Otherwise than that a good stay. Comfy bed. Decent room size, helpful staff.

We stayed for a night at Royal Swan Ashley Manor. It's a bit of a difficult find (even with satnav) as it's on a relatively fast treed road with little obvious signage. The outside is very unassuming and if you arrive late, you will likely have to find parking on the back lawn (it's fairly smooth and on a hot summer's day is actually preferred because there's shade there). The rooms are not difficult to find, and your room key is an old-fashioned actual key attached to a large plexiglass plate. The room is fairly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom we had was triangular and on the very small size, with a double-closet door entry that was frustrating in that it seemed unnecessary, was difficult to close due to interior trim that was falling out, and when opened the doors, the fan and light automatically turned one which means late-night visits to the washroom will wake up your partner with what at that time feels like a spotlight beam. Regardless, the room was clean, we slept well, and the staff were very helpful and responsive to questions and concerns.
