We came in on the train and walked to the hotel. Perfect location to go to Skyline, which is new, or the old part of town. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Buying snacks was close and convenient as well. A short walk to the river where all the museums are but we did take taxis home from that end of town. Cost for taxi was between 10 & 15 euros. Helpful staff when my battery went dead on my computer mouse.

Contemporary, design hotel with cream and dark wood motif, set in central Frankfurt near the banks of the River Main.More
I chose this hotel because of the reviews from expedia members. The hotel is very close to the main train station in which you can just walk. The hotel is very clean, the front staff Kristen was very helpful. The front staff speaks English. Breakfast if you won't purchase upon hotel reservation is pricey, 13 euros. Our bathroom is super clean. My only complaint is their Wi-fi. This days you need wifi everywhere and is very disappointing as our signal keeps dropping in fact I have to go to the lobby twice just to surf and may a call via Voip. The hotel said it is not their fault and that it is the German Telekom but if you are conducting a business you should pressure your internet provider for better service and speed!!!

"Very convenient and comfortable hotel in Frankfurt"
I've stayed at the InterCity Hotel Frankfurt several times, It's very convenient for access to the airport via frequent train service from the Main Station (a 3 minute walk from the station, and a 10-15 minute train ride) and the Frankfurt Center and shopping area (a 10 minute walk along Kaiser Strass to an open traffic-less outdoor mall), and Frankfurt's cultural venues. Rooms, albeit small, are comfortable (great beds) and very quiet. With all that Frankfurt has to offer it's unlikely that you'll spend much time in the room during the day. But if the room ambiance/size and the hotel facilities are very important to you then this hotel may not be suitable. If you plan to walk through the City, possibly travel to one of the outlying areas (such as Heidelberg) the hotel works very well. Breakfast is very very good. And value to price is very high. The area near the main train station, on first appearance, may appear a bit seedy, but, in my experience, it's very safe. There are several ethnic excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (ask at the desk for suggestions). If you're willing to walk a bit further (10-15 minutes) there are many choices both with indoor and outdoor settings. Check out the cultural events in Frankfurt. Most are within walking distance of the hotel.
