Best location of the 3 Hackettstown/Budd Lake hotels, much quieter than Budd Lake ones for certain. Walking distance to markets etc.

It was an adequate place for an overnight stay. I'd return, if I were in that area again and had to stay.

a place to spend my evenings

Posted Jun 12, 2017
Cons: parking was crowded when they were full
Location: 15 min. from my favorite bar in the area. J.P. Kelleys
I was in the area for a memorial service for my sister. It was close to where I needed to be, relatively easy to find and served the purpose for a reasonable price.

You pay for what you get

Posted Jun 2, 2017 on Hotels
Hair dryer didn't work - water leaking from around bathroom faucet - light bulb in ceiling not functioning and no exhaust made for hot bathroom. no "business center" as advertised - ice machine broken - breakfast sub par (the sausage patties looked old) Desk personnel very friendly. Not enough staff - requested extra towels and had to get dressed and come downstairs to get them ourselves. Very economical for a quick 2 night stay.

Good location but needs renovation

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Location. Everything worked!!
Cons: FIRST: Clean glass in entrance doors and keep them clean. Renovation of both interior and exterior
Good location. First impressions were to observe how dirty glass of entrance doors. Carpets are worn, stretched and encrusted with heavy use dirt by elevator. Wallpaper beginning to peel in some places and facility in general has a very tired look both inside and out. Breakfast not worth staying for so we ate elsewhere. Room was comfortable and a/c & heat worked well. Bath facilities clean, shower and sink controls easily adjusted and everything worked properly but they were a little stingy with the towels. Beds were comfortable and pillows in abundance. Room code runs out each day so multiple day stays require getting a recode on room key. We asked about it twice and were assured it was set properly for multiple days but still had to get key recoded each day. Not a big thing but annoying and for the price of $95 per day, I expect a more up to date and trouble free stay. All in all, if the place were remodeled and the exterior landscape it would go a long way.
