I wanted a tall hotel with a view of Haifa Bay and city. For this purpose, hotel Dan Panorama was perfect. Plus, I told them it was a milestone birthday for me and they upgraded me to the 10th floor. They even left some mini cakes in my room that looked cute but were so so. The location is good and parking is right by the entrance (paid 50 Shekel for 24 hrs., about $17).
Two things pissed us off immensely. For one, the bathtub is for size-zero humans, preferably children. We've never seen such a small and narrow bath in our lives, and we've traveled all over the world. My husband and I each took a bath and we agreed it was the worst bath we've ever had in our lives!
Second, we know it's Passover in a few days, but the hotel breakfast buffer is already free of breads/hametz. And Passover is five days away!!! That was crazy and very disappointing. Had I known, we would not have eaten breakfast there. The rest of the food was okay. The service was slow but good.
Also, the bed was too firm, and the pool was closed due to renovation - and the noise of the drilling bothered us even on the tenth floor. Must they begin before 9:00 AM? Most likely, we will never return to this hotel.
