Best Hotel on the shore

We had a really good time there, the place had a wonderful view of the sea with great room locations, the food was fantastic ....they had everything on breakfast ....the staff was sooo nice and helpful ...if you are checking in...look for Suzan, she will make everything possible .

My best weekend in Israel

Location: The beach is great. Also "MadaTech" (science museum), Bahai Gardends, Louis promenade (amazing views; worth visiting in daytime and at night)
I travel extensively with my family both in the US and in Israel. This was by far one of our best weekends in Israel. Our room was very clean with plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. Everything smelled clean and fresh. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both of which were amazing in terms of variety and their quality and quantity. Most notably, the members of their staff were outstanding and would go above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Their guest relation manager and their dining room manager were extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is by the beach, which was very clean with soft sand with a large, flat shallow area, which made it a pleasant swimming experience, and also safer for the kids.

Go to the Leonardo Haifa

I've stayed there twice, and I'll go back. I got in late, they gave me a nice suite, and I was changed and out behind the place at the fun beachside bar for dinner in no time. The breakfast is great. The bar is in the lobby, and there's usually a bartender. Best of all, the Mediterranean laps up against the back of the hotel. It's beautiful. Parking is a horror story. You can park right there on the median. You'll know what I mean. Technion is very close. Easy drive from Ben Gurion Airport.

Great beach loacation - service and layout no good

Pros: Location was great but doesn't take good advantage of the beach through use of the building.
Cons: For the quality and service mentioned above the prices are about 50% too high.
Location: Very close to Camel beach and walkable to lots of stuff, as well walkable to train station.
The process for checkin was unclear, disorganized and laborious. We arrived after travelling over 30 hours to an crowd of people, with no clear line, and after about 30 minutes of standing and finally elbowing our way through people who were jumping the line, and getting agressive to get attention we were checked in and told the room would not be ready until after 3. We were given pool and towel keys, and told we could put our luggage in a luggage room. The pool is in the basement and there is absolutely no clear opening to get to the back of the hotel. You either have to walk outside around the whole building or go through the pool. The pool area was hot and humid, and the locker room smelled like a litter box and was filthy. We just couldn't even think of changing our clothes there so we went outside tired and uncomfortably hot to sit on the beach and have a cold drink while we waited for 2 hours. When we went to check our bags this too was very unclear and we were quite worried we'd never see our bags again due to the disorganization. Luckily they were there.

Worst hotel in Haifa-don't even think about it

We ended up not staying as everything was so lousy- this hotel needs a complete overhaul from facility to parking to staff

Close to beach, but old hotel

Pros:
Location: Several nice bars and restaurants near the hotel on the beach.
Good: Great location on the Carmel beach. Great food at the buffet. Bad: Poor room quality - old décor, direct tub, overused towels and overall aged feeling. Not enough parking No hot tub Pool closes early Location is rather isolated, nothing really except few restaurants nearby

Nice hotel on the beach

Pros: Friendly personnel, beach. Business center staff was excellent.
Cons: Physical plant. They need to renovate (pain, new carpeting, new lighting, etc.)
Location: Beach! The Carmel (central Haifa) is very close.
Well, I read a bunch of reviews about the Leonardo, and I was actually hesitant to book it based on them.. But I did, and I was actually pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean, the breakfast food was quite good (They make real espressos and cappuccinos!) and the room service pizza was delicious. The room was clean and well kept. The outside grounds could be better, it's a pain to park, and the keys don't always work. The physical plant does need some renovation. The beach was fantastic. Great walking paths (several kilometers.) The sandy beach was great and the water was amazing.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. It is close to the beach, the staff is friendly and there is an indoor pool.
