Tiny room and no air circulation.Posted Jan 16, 2018
Very small room, terrible layout. No air circulation in the room. Hotel staff gave bad direction. Speak very limited English.

Loved it (for the most part!)Posted Dec 22, 2017 on Orbitz
I booked this hotel for 2 nights based on the location, available restaurants and stores nearby (a lot of them in the same building). It was great to stay at this hotel around holidays, with the Christmas decor and fountain shows at every half hour. I also like the fact that the hotel is near public transportation such as bus ans subway. Taxi isn’t too bad for Fukuoka Airport (under 2000 yen one way) and Hakata Station (under 1000 yen).

Hotel nears Canel CityPosted Dec 9, 2017
Tried to check with the reception to see the propability of traffic jam during the lunch time to the airport but got an unhelpful answer “nobody will know”.

Dated and dirty.Posted Jul 2, 2017 on Hotels
Hotel is pretty beat up, badly in need of a remodel. I can deal with a dated decor, but the place felt un-kept. Apparently there are some smoking floors, which is fine, but the entire hotel had traces of stale, musty, dirty ashtray smells. Another issue is their crazy policy of issuing only one room key, can't get another key, even when traveling with another person on separate schedule, pretty inconvenient. Location is okay, really part of the Canal City Shopping Center, which is also in need of an overhaul. Probably was pretty cool in the 90's. Multiple Gourmet Ramen stalls on the top floor was good and convenient. There is a short walk to the downtown area, and city center park. Side streets along the way to downtown are very active after dark in what is pretty much a red light district, with a lot of "Hostess Bars" and Pimpish hustlers around. Fine if you are into that. Overall I don't think I can recommend this hotel.

Small room, clean bed, clean overall. Cheap, you get what you pay for.
Simple, Clean and Convenient hotel w/ Great ServicPosted May 2, 2017 on Hotels
Very convenient location in this simple no nonsense hotel Tried staying at Washington hotel in Tokyo Shinjuku once and it was a terrible experience - room was soooooo small. This time in Fukuoka, the room was much more spacious - a triple standard room. Very clean and functional. All amenities present and genuine non-smoking room. Great location at Canal City so plenty to eat and shop.
