Convenient hotel by local train station.

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Very close to public transport. Clean rooms, helpful service. Included breakfast. Morning market was just down the street.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better, but was free so can't really complain.
Location: Old Fort, Hakodate hot springs, world class seafood. Interesting shopping.
Very clean room, of a pretty average size by North American standards, but spacious for Japan. Very clean bathroom. Polite and helpful service. Included breakfast was fairly average, but free so no real complaints there. Extremely close to the JR train station and local bus station, so very convenient to get around.

Convenient Location

Posted Oct 1, 2017
Pros: The proximity of the hotel to the JR station and bus terminal makes it so convenient to get around.
Cons: Onsen area could use a face lift.
Location: The morning market is a short walk from the hotel. Daimon Yokocho, just around the corner, was a great place to have dinner.
JR station and bus terminal is right across the hotel. Morning market is next door to the station. Get the bus/tram day pass. Stops near major tourist attractions. Includes the bus to Mt. Hakodate. Rooms are on the smaller side. Onsen area needs to be refurbished.

The staff was pleasant and professional. They made you feel welcomed each time you walk through the door.

Location, free breakfast, WiFi, and an onsen!

Posted Aug 25, 2017 on Hotels
"Ekimae" means across from the train station, which it is. It is also across from the Morning Market, a tram station, and near the waterfront. Then add in a free buffet breakfast, free WiFi, and an onsen. What more could you want?

Dissappointed

Rooms as well as the toilet are very small, staff at reception not too friendly and helpful. However location is good, across the train station, food easily accessible.

Great location, but the facility is really old

Posted May 15, 2017
Pros: Great location to all the transportation in Hakodate and the seafood market
Cons: The facility is old and rooms are small even for Japanese standard, and there is nothing much can be changed about that.
Location: Literally 2 minute walk from the JR station, the bus station, and the morning seafood market. You can see the Hakodate mountain from the hotel
I booked this hotel for its convenient location, and it really is 2 minute walking distance from the JR station, the bus station, the tram station, and the morning seafood market. The room is very small even for Japanese standard, and facility appears to be very old. The guest seems to be mostly foreign tourists (I am amazed how people were able to fit two adults and two children in a room) and older Japanese tourists. Consider the great location and the cost, this is a not a bad hotel for a short stay.

Very close to the train station.

It was very pleasant stay although we missed our buffet breakfast on our last morning due to early train departure.
