Not Good

From the front desk fellow to the awful room and view looking over pipes and nothing to dirty to no help to never telling us two towers and only one goes to the garage.. Such a massive disappointment perhaps poor business men .. we even had a guy so drunk trying to get into our room at 2 am Not fun no one cared.. Won't be back

Best Halifax location, Great Staff!

Location: 50 restaurants within walking! great art museum with great Maud Lewis exhibit, Citedel, Public Gardins, etc, 3 days minimum!
check in was excellent, room was ready at 12:00 when we arrived, great facilities, gym, pool and breakfast all top shelf. location was perfect to enjoy waterfront, restaurants and downtown. it was our 35th anniversary and they made us feel appreciated. look forward to going back.

Terrific place to stay.

Pros: Location, staff helpfulness, ease of access.
Cons: Nothing I can think of, this was a pretty excellent all around experience.
Location: Waterfront museums and ship tours were very well curated and minimal cost. Many great restaurants and brew pubs - staff had great recommendations.
The location is pretty stellar with easy access to major sites in Halifax and easy access to highways and transportation systems (ferry, bus, train, and a shuttle to the airport) for seeing the region. I did not use the hotel restaurants because there are so many great places within easy walking distance of the hotel. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and our early check-in did not cause any problems for the staff during a festival weekend at the waterfront. I have already recommended the place to family and friends that will be traveling to Halifax later this year.

Beautiful views of the Harbour

Pros: Cleanliness and friendly staff
Cons: More smoking sections outside
Location: Tons of shopping and local restaurants, pubs, and entertainment. Right on the shore of Halifax Harbour.
We upgraded to a Harbour view room on the South side of the hotel for an extra fee a night. Well worth it. The Hotel has an awesome pool and whirlpool open early on weekdays to relax before heading out to tour the city. Located right downtown and close to all shops and restaurants and a 2 minute walk to the Casino. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful for any needs you require. The hotel also has a Spa on the 2nd floor that is reasonably priced if you want a massage or haircut. If we ever go back to Halifax again, we will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Close to everything downtown

I was in Halifax for work. The hotel is located close to both my office and lots of restaurants for supper. Staff was very friendly and room was clean and quite.

Cons: Put the restaurant back where it was, overlooking the Harbor, rather than in a dark crner of the lobby.
Lots of fun with all of Canada Day activities close by

Requirements not met

Location: The hotel was in great location right on the harbour within walking distance of so many places and events.
We are not sure who to blame for our room reservation detail error. We were traveling with 4 full grown people and had specifically booked a room with two full beds. Upon arrival, we received a room with a king only with no option given to switch as they were apparently fully booked. We ended up having to squeeze cots into the room for the duration of our stay. It was cramped and sub par for comfort. Nothing was given to us as an option and nobody followed up with us to offer any alternatives in the days that followed. Did our booking details not get relayed to the hotel properly or were they ignored by the hotel itself? It was disappointing to find out that our reservation was not booked properly. This experience will make us doubt booking through Expedia again if this is the type of problem we might have. Because we prebooked through Expedia, we were made to feel as if there was nothing they could do for us.
